Accessory assembly for string instrument and string instrument
Multiple accessory assemblies for a string instrument are disclosed. The accessory assembly is a set of an accessory, made of a material of Young's modulus greater than 12 GPa, and at least one sound purifier, made of a material of Young's modulus roughly equal to or less than 3.5 GPa. A string instrument that includes at least one accessory assembly is also discussed.
Stringed instrument
A string instrument has a neck attached to a body and extending outwardly therefrom. The body has a top plate joined to a bottom plate by a continuous rib forming an interior volume therebetween. A tailpiece is joined to the body. The tailpiece has tubular string bores. Each string bore has an entrance for receiving a string therein and an exit from which the string emerges and extends to the neck. At least one the exits has a cross-sectional shape in which a length of a major axis of the cross-sectional shape is greater than a length of a minor axis of the cross-sectional shape.

Cantilevered bridge for resonators
A cantilevered bridge for resonators to permit greater sound production from small sound producing instruments, including a sound producing instrument having an instrument body; a cantilevered bridge lever arm having a first surface and a second surface, with a primary resonator coupled by a biscuit bridge to the first surface of the cantilevered bridge lever arm, and a secondary resonator coupled by a connector to the second surface of the cantilevered bridge lever arm. In a second embodiment, a hinge attachment anchors the cantilevered bridge lever arm to a pivot point within the sound producing instrument.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR STRINGED INSTRUMENT TAILPIECE
A stringed instrument tailpiece includes an elongate body. Openings, which may be slots or through-holes, are formed at a bridge-end of the elongate body to engage a musical instrument's one or more strings. An opening at the gut-end of the elongate body is configured to engage a gut, which attaches to an instrument endpin.

Bowed instrument
The object of the invention is a bowed instrument comprising a body (2) and a neck (1), the upper face of the body (2) being the top plate (4), at the bottom of which a tailpiece is disposed secured to the bottom of the instrument, the strings (14) being disposed in a tensioned state, supported from below by a bridge, between the tailpiece and the scroll (8) of the neck (1). The bowed instrument according to the invention comprises a tailpiece (16) that is adapted to retain the bottom portion of the strings (14), has an arcuate triangular shape, has an asymmetrically shaped body made of a multilayered material, and is rounded along the periphery of its body, wherein bores (20) adapted for receiving the strings (14) are disposed at the bottom corner (a) and along the arced portion (9) extending between the two upper corners (b, c) thereof.
