20230154441 · 2023-05-18 ·

The present invention relates to a head joint for a wind instrument, having a mouthpiece and a reed portion, and a wind instrument comprising same and, more particularly, to a head joint for a wind instrument, having a mouthpiece and a reed portion, and a wind instrument comprising same, the head joint allowing for an extended range of one octave lower, i.e. extended lower notes, than the range of a two-side-open wind instrument by adding the range of a one-side-open wind instrument, which is played through a reed, to the range of a two-side-open wind instrument which only has a mouthpiece.

The head joint for a wind instrument, having a mouthpiece and a reed portion, according to the present invention has a tubular shape having one end closed, wherein the mouthpiece and the reed portion are formed, so as to be spaced apart from each other, at a certain distance from the end.

Electronic wind instrument (electronic musical instrument) and manufacturing method thereof

To provide an electronic wind instrument capable of accurately detecting the amount of rotation of a transmission member. During an electronic wind instrument performance by a performer, external light (such as light from lighting) may easily shine on the upper surface side of an instrument main body. However, the light-receiving section of an optical sensor faces toward the bottom surface side of the instrument main body therefore external light from the upper surface side of the instrument main body can be prevented from reaching the light-receiving section of the optical sensor. As a result, erroneous detection of the external light by the optical sensor can be suppressed therefore the rotation amount of a transmission member can be accurately detected by the optical sensor.

A method for assembling a double reed mouthpiece for use within an oboe utilizes heat shrink tubing to affix a folded cane to the staple of the mouthpiece. The staple is mounted on a ligating stand having a heatshield that protects a cork sleeve around the staple. Heat shrink tubing and a folded cane are then placed over the exposed proximal end of the staple. A clamp holds the folded cane in place. Heated air is used to ligate and affix the folded cane to the staple. The heatshield prevents damage to the cork sleeve. The heat shrink tubing securely affixes the folded cane to the staple.

Reduced Air Leakage Harmonica Reed Unit

A reduced air leakage harmonica reed unit contains a reed plate and a plurality of reed sections. The plurality of reed sections is attached to the reed plate with a fastening mechanism and positioned within a body of the harmonica. The reed plate consists of a plate body and a plurality of receiving slots that traverse through the plate body. The plurality of receiving slots are aligned with a U-shaped channel from each of the plurality of reed sections. Thus, air that is drawn or blown travels through the U-shaped channel from the plurality of reed sections and through the plurality of receiving slots. Since the U-shaped channel is precisely cut, air leakage is minimized and high quality sound is produced by triggering a vibrating membrane.
