Systems and methods for playing virtual music instrument through tracking of fingers with coded light
Finger-tracking systems and methods for virtual instruments playback. The described system tracks the position of user's ten fingers on a projection surface and can be used to play virtual instruments such as virtual piano, drums, and bells. The system tracks the movement of user's ten fingers while keeping them free of encumbrance or excessive postural constraints. More specifically, in one or more embodiments, a coded light based projector is used to send out location signal onto a flat surface, and ten light sensors are mounted on user's fingers to receive these signals and locate user's fingers. Based on their locations and relative distance to a fixed point, a printed music instrument can be used for virtual instrument music playback. With the described tracking system, various embodiments of virtual music instruments may be implemented, including a system and method for virtual piano playing as well as virtual Chinese bell playing on printed keyboard and printed Chinese bell set.
Electronic apparatus and control method thereof
An electronic apparatus includes a plurality of pads, each of the plurality of pads including a touch sensor and an acceleration sensor, a sound output interface configured to output sounds that are set to the respective pads, a display configured to display visual feedback, and a processor configured to, in response to the touch sensor in a pad among the plurality of pads detecting a touch of the pad, and the acceleration sensor in the pad detecting an intensity of the touch that is greater than or equal to a value, determine that a beat is performed on the pad, control the sound output interface to output a sound that is set to the pad on which the beat is determined to be performed, with a magnitude corresponding to an intensity of the beat, and control the display to display the visual feedback corresponding to the beat determined to be performed.
Musical Instrument Tuner
A frequency detection and display device includes a body having a vibratory portion configured for vibrating at a predetermined frequency. In this manner, the vibratory portion provides a visible indication corresponding to the predetermined frequency in response to vibration of an object, such as a stringed musical instrument, to which the frequency detection and display device is attached.
Capo-light system
A capo-light system is disclosed herein. The capo-light system includes a capo device and an electronic handheld device. The capo device is coupled at a defined portion of a stringed instrument. Additionally, the capo device includes a clamp member configured to be coupled to strings of stringed instrument at defined portion. A light source is positioned at an end of a retractable arm attached to clamp member and configured to provide a first set of functionalities. Furthermore, a microphone is positioned at the clamp member and configured to provide a second set of functionalities. An electronic handheld device is coupled to capo device via a communication network and is configured to control the first set of functionalities associated with the light source and the second set of functionalities associated with the microphone.
SWITCH DEVICE, ELECTRONIC APPARATUS, AND ELECTRONIC MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
A switch device (4, 5) includes: a cap (7) including, on a top surface (711), a first region (71a) and a second region (71b) corresponding to a position where an internal light (133) is disposed and being thinner than the first region (71a); and a switch (61, 62) to which the cap (7) is mounted.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING HARMONIOUS COLOR SETS FROM MUSICAL INTERVAL DATA
Systems and methods are disclosed for generating color sets based on musical concepts of pitch intervals and harmony. Color sets are derived via a music-to-hue process which analyzes musical pitch data associated with musical input to determine pitch intervals included in the music. Pitch interval angles associated with the pitch intervals are applied to a tuned hue index to identify hue note ordered within the index which are separated by a hue interval angle similar to the pitch angle associated with the analyzed pitch data. The systems and methods provide for the creation of color sets which are analogous to musical chords in that they include multiple hue notes selected based on hue interval angles derived from musical interval angles associated with the received musical input.

Music mash up collectable card game
An intuitive music composition game platform with various modes of operation in a single reader system and a music mash up collectable card game and method using cards with tags and unique identifications. A single reading platform includes a cover for card storage and for supporting a smart device platform for reading many Near Field communication (NFC) embedded cards, with stacking features and colored light indicated input lanes selection for user identification and selection. Various game modes include individual, studio mix, party modes game play features in music mash up collectable card games, which may be used together with or independent of accessory devices as controllers, or smart device user interfaces with Bluetooth™ or Wi-Fi for communicating user selection and operation.
Keyless synthesizer
A keyless synthesizer t can stimulate all three senses (hearing, muscle movement and visual) at once in patients born with C.H.A.R.G.E. syndrome while they play and, at the same time, enjoy and have fun with the device. A keyless synthesizer operational by a single hand of the user includes an ultrasound range sensor responsive to the distance “d” of a user's hand from the sensor for generating a sensor signal corresponding to the distance “d”. A programmable microcontroller programmed to convert the sensor signal to one of a plurality of discrete signals. A synthesizer is responsive to each discrete signal for generating a discrete tone. A multi-color generator is responsive to each discrete signal for generating a discrete color so that for each discrete signal corresponding to a distance “d” both a discreet tone and an associated discreet color are generated.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An information processing apparatus detachable from a human body includes a control unit that generates feedback information that provides feedback in accordance with information based on strength/weakness of a keystroke of a musical instrument.
