Key switch

A key switch includes a base, a key cap, a first support member and a second support member. The key cap is disposed with respect to the base. The first support member and the second support member are disposed between the key cap and the base. The first support member has a first linkage structure. The second support member has a second linkage structure. The first linkage structure and the second linkage structure abut against each other, such that the first support member and the second support member rotate synchronously with respect to a horizontal axis. When one of the first support member and the second support member horizontally moves with respect to the other one of the first support member and the second support member within a predetermined range along the horizontal axis, the first linkage structure and the second linkage structure keep abutting against each other.

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for representing user interactions with real-world input devices in a virtual space

A key assembly for a keyboard may include a key cap that includes a touch sensor that is communicatively coupled to a control device. When the touch sensor senses a touch event, the touch sensor may send a touch signal to the control device, and when the touch sensor senses an absence of touch, the touch sensor may send a control signal to the control device. The key assembly may further include a switch that is communicatively coupled to the control device and that is movable between a pressed position and an un-pressed position. When the switch is in the pressed position, the switch may send a closed signal to the control device, and when the switch is in the un-pressed position, the switch may send an open signal to the control device. Various other apparatuses, systems, and methods are also disclosed.

Switching and operating assembly of a switch

Embodiments disclosed provide a switching and operating assembly of a switch. The switch includes a switching assembly including a switching member adapted to move between at least two positions to control an operation state of the switch; and a driving member coupled to the switching member; an operating assembly separated from and detachably arranged on the switching assembly and operable to cause the driving member to rotate; and an elastic component arranged between the switching member and the driving member to hold the switching member in one of the at least two positions. By providing the switch including a switching assembly and an operating assembly separated from each other, any one of the switching assembly and the operating assembly can be replaced separately without changing the overall height of the switch. This significantly increases the flexibility to personalize the switch.

Customizable over-mount structure for vehicle start/stop button

An over-mount structure for over-mounting a vehicle start/stop button that is mounted in a housing with a gap defined between an outer periphery of the start/stop button and an inner periphery of the housing. The over-mount structure includes a mounting body having a first, generally cylindrical, mounting portion having a wall thickness sized to be received within the gap and having an inner diameter sized to make a removable press-fit engagement with an outer diameter of the start/stop button. The mounting body also includes a second generally cylindrical mounting portion, integral with the first mounting portion and in opposing relation therewith. A faceplate is removably coupled to the second mounting portion to cover an end thereof.
