Panel device
A panel device includes a protective cover that has an insertion hole for an ON/OFF knob of a molded case circuit breaker and is formed to cover an exposed live part of the molded case circuit breaker and provided with an engaging part at a predetermined portion thereof; a cover support member that openably and closably supports this protective cover; and a cover locking member that engages with the engaging part when the protective cover is closed and restricts turning of the protective cover; wherein any one of the protective cover, the cover support member and the cover locking member is movably provided in conjunction with movement of the ON/OFF knob, and the engaging part and the cover locking member are engaged with each other or released from each other by the movement of the any one of those.
Material removal from inner surface to preserve perception of outer surface aesthetics
A veneer for a wall-mounted keypad may include indicia that are laser cut therethrough and that are representative of functions that may be performed by the keypad. The veneer may include a recess that extends into an inner surface of the veneer, proximate to the indicia. The recess may be shaped such that a perceived aesthetic of an outer surface of the veneer is preserved during formation of the indicia. The recess may for example have an organic shape defined by a curved outer perimeter that does not define any corners.
SWITCHGEAR
A switchgear according to the present invention includes a disconnecting unit that includes multiple switches to switch electrical paths by rotation of blades, and a switch housing having a view port, and including the switches arranged therein, wherein planes of rotation of the blades and an arrangement direction of the switches intersect, and the switches are arranged rearward from the view port.
FUSE UNIT
A fuse unit includes: a fusible link which is connected to a battery terminal and of which a fuse is fused when overcurrent flows therein; and a holding mechanism including a base portion that is interposed between a post-standing surface and the battery terminal in a state in which the battery terminal is fastened to a battery post provided on the post-standing surface of a battery housing, and a holding portion that is connected to the base portion and holds the fusible link on the post-standing surface. Accordingly, a load acting on the battery post can be suppressed.
LONGITUDINAL SWITCH FOR ELECTRIC CONTACT LOCKING AND POSITION CHANGING SYSTEM
A longitudinal switch for an electric contact locking and position changing system was designed to position securely the movable switch elements (7), which are urged by springs (5) and a rack (1) and toothed gear (8) mechanism for moving a vertical shaft (9), acting upon fixed elements (contacts) (16) of an electrically insulating rail surface (15). Positions are changed by turning a control button (39) and the toothed gear (8), causing the vertical shaft (9) to rotate, thus moving the rack (1) and causing the movable elements (7) to slide on the semicircular surface (17) of the fixed elements (16), overcoming the force of the springs (5) and compressing them. Once the gap between the fixed elements (16) is located, the springs (5) push back, keeping the movable elements (7) locked and ensuring the effective electric contact with the electric current passing through these points of contact.
High-Visibility Status Indicator
A visual status indicator for an electrical apparatus is disclosed. The status indicator can be mounted within a lower cover of the electrical apparatus such that various display faces of the indicator are visible through one or more viewing windows of the lower cover. The status indicator can comprise a mounting base with protrusions and at least one wing, wherein the wing comprises at least one display face. At least one swing arm can be attached to the mounting base via the protrusions and the at least one swing arm can comprise at least one display face. The swing arm can be actuated such that either the display face on the wing or the display face on the swing arm is visible through the viewing window to indicate the status of the electrical apparatus.
INDUSTRIAL CUT-OFF SWITCH FOR VISUAL IDENTIFICATION OF POWER SYSTEM CUT-OFF STATUS
Disclosed herein is an industrial cut-off switch for visual identification of power system cut-off status. The industrial cut-off switch includes an enclosure having an accommodation space therein, a handle disposed on an outer surface of the enclosure and having a gripping part extending in one direction, and a switch unit disposed inside the enclosure, and connected to the handle operated to adjust an on/off state of the switch unit.
CIRCUIT BREAKER STATUS INDICATING SYSTEM FOR SWITCHGEAR AUXILIARY SWITCH
Systems and methods for indicating an operational status of a circuit breaker within a switchgear comprise providing a mechanism-operated control (MOC) assembly arranged within a housing of the circuit breaker. A drive plate is slidably mounted on a wall of the switchgear adjacent to the MOC assembly. A drive arm is pivotably mounted at one end on the wall of the switchgear, the drive arm engaged at an opposite end thereof with the drive plate. A status indicator is disposed on the wall of the switchgear, wherein changing an operational state of the circuit breaker mechanically operates the MOC assembly to slide the drive plate in a direction that pivots the drive arm from a first position to a second position, the first and second positions of the drive arm being visible externally of the switchgear through the status indicator.
SWITCH HAVING A POSITION INDICATOR
A switch for medium voltage applications is provided. The switch comprises a vacuum interrupter having a fixed contact, a movable contact movable in a first direction to and away from the fixed contact between a closed position and an open position, and a drive rod arranged to the movable contact for moving the contact between the closed position and the open position. The switch further comprises a changeover switch having a first terminal body, a second terminal body, an elongated pole body, and an operating rod. The elongate pole body is hinged with a first end to the first terminal body and rotatable between a connected position in which the second end of the pole body is in direct electrical contact with the second terminal body and a disconnected position in which the second end is disconnected from the second terminal body.
