Medium voltage breaker conductor with an electrically efficient contour
The present disclosure provides a conductive member for a circuit breaker high voltage portion conductor assembly, the conductive member including a body with a transfer portion and a coupling portion. The body transfer portion has an electro-thermally efficient contour. That is, the body transfer portion has an electrically efficient contour and a thermally efficient contour. The body transfer portion includes a number of slots defining fins. In this configuration, the body transfer portion distributes current generally evenly across a cross-sectional area of the conductive member body. Further, the fins provide heat dissipation via convection.
HEAT SINK FOR A HIGH VOLTAGE SWITCHGEAR
A heat sink for a high voltage switchgear includes: a body. The body is centered around a central axis that extends in an axial direction from a first outer surface of the body to a second outer surface of the body. At least one third outer surface of the body extends from the first outer surface to the second outer surface. At least one air channel extends through the body from the first outer surface to the second outer surface. The at least one air channel is surrounded by the at least one third outer surface.
Generator switch with a cooling device
A generator switch including an encapsulation lying at ground potential and an electrical conductor arranged in an insulated fashion inside the encapsulation and at high-voltage potential, as well as a gravity-driven cooling device having an evaporator and a condenser arranged above the evaporator and a coolant. The cooling device is formed as a closed loop-type coolant circuit. During operation of the generator switch, a level of the liquid coolant in the line system in a static cooling device is at least as high as the upper end of the insulating section in the insulator.
CIRCUIT BREAKER
A heat pipe includes an insulating hollow body located inside an outer conductor. The insulating hollow body insulates a portion of the heat pipe on an outer conductor side and a portion of the heat pipe on an inner conductor side from each other. The heat pipe has a plurality of sections each connecting a corresponding one of a plurality of connection conductors to the insulating hollow body. The heat pipe further includes a communication path connecting portions of the heat pipe to each other to cause the plurality of sections to be in communication with each other. Each of the portions is connected to a corresponding one of the plurality of connection conductors.
Power contractor with high mechanic shock resistance
A power contactor having an electromagnetic driving unit, a rotating armature, and a reset element. The rotating armature is switched by the electromagnetic driving unit between an open position and a closed position. The reset element exerts a reset force onto the rotating armature when in the closed position.
Gas-blast circuit breaker
According to an embodiment, a gas-blast circuit breaker comprises a heat removal unit in a flow path of arc extinguishing gas. The heat removal unit each includes: plate-shaped heat removal members contacting the arc extinguishing gas flowing in the flow path; and a holding portion holding the plate-shaped heat removal members to stack the heat removal members at intervals in a thickness direction. Each of the heat removal members includes: an upstream side end portion; a downstream side end portion; and a thickest portion with a largest thickness which is provided between the upstream side end portion and the downstream side end portion. Thickness of the heat removal member continuously changes between the upstream side end portion and the downstream side end portion via the thickest portion.
Electrical circuit breaker device with particle trap
An electric switching device filled with a dielectric insulating medium includes first and second arcing contact, first exhaust volume downstream of first arcing contact and second exhaust volume downstream of second arcing contact. The exhaust volumes includes several first openings in their walls, through which the insulating medium exits into third volume. The third volume is arranged around the first or second exhaust volume and is radially delimited by the wall of the exhaust volumes and by an exterior wall having second openings through which the insulating medium exits the third volume. One baffle device is provided inside third volume such that vortex flow of the insulating medium is generated when it passes the baffle device on its way towards the second openings. Turbulent flow conditions are chosen such that gravitational force allows to trap or contributes to trap particles in the baffle device. The baffle device comprises baffle plates or fins, that are arranged to form cavities for capturing the particles by gravitational force.
Power device including a short-circuit switch and a separation switch
A power device, which includes: an energizing conductor; a power generation unit configured to generate power that is induced by a magnetic flux of a current flowing through the energizing conductor; a power device unit configured to use the power generated in the power generation unit as a power source; a short-circuit switch capable of short-circuiting an output from the power generation unit; and a sealed container in which the energizing conductor, the power generation unit and the power device unit are included, and an insulating fluid is enclosed in the sealed container. This power device is provided as a highly reliable power device, which is used in an AC power system and does not induce an excessive voltage in the power generation unit when the power device unit is stopped in the state where the energized state of the energizing conductor is maintained.
Cooling apparatus for a medium voltage or high voltage switchgear
A cooling apparatus for a medium voltage or high voltage switchgear includes an evaporator, a fluid conduit, and a condenser. The evaporator is configured to surround at least part of a current carrying contact. The fluid conduit fluidly connects the evaporator to the condenser. A section of the fluid conduit is formed within the evaporator and is electrically insulating and is configured such that fluid can contact an outer surface of the current carrying contact. The cooling apparatus is configured such that in use a working fluid in the evaporator is heated to a vapour state, and the vapour is transferred by the fluid conduit to the condenser.
