Switch
The invention relates to a switch having a switch housing, a number of module-type individual interrupter chambers which can be arranged in particular side by side in the switch housing and having at least two switching contact elements, and an actuating device which closes off the switch housing above the individual interrupter chambers. This actuating device serves to adjust a cam element for the selective establishment of an electrical connection between the switching contact elements of an individual interrupter chamber. The switching contact elements can be arranged in at least two different orientations in each individual interrupter chamber in an explosion-protected manner. Furthermore, in particular the cam element of the actuating device can be arranged differently depending on the orientation of the switching contact elements. This results in a switch with a simple adaptation option for housing installation or front-panel mounting, wherein all requirements for explosion protection are also fulfilled at the same time.
Electronically controlled fusible switching disconnect modules and devices
A fusible switch disconnect device includes a housing adapted to receive at least one fuse therein, and a switchable contact for connecting the fuse to circuitry. A tripping mechanism and control circuitry are provided to move the switchable contact to an open position in response to a predetermined electrical condition.
ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT
Techniques are described for electrical equipment management. Embodiments include receiving and validating a login request from a user. Receiving a selection of an order of an electrical equipment system to assemble and, in response, retrieving and providing a plurality of instructions. Performing an iterative assembly process to manage the assembly of the electrical equipment system by the user, wherein the iterative assembly process comprises iterating through the plurality of instructions for assembling the electrical equipment. Recording digital artifacts of the electrical equipment system during performance of the plurality instructions as part of the iterative assembly process and upon determining that compliance has been achieved for the assembled electrical equipment system based on the recorded digital artifacts satisfying a predefined compliance standard, record a final assembly report for the electrical equipment system. Embodiments include storing the final assembly report together with a unique identifier corresponding to the assembled electrical equipment system.
Fusible switching disconnect modules and devices with tripping coil
A fusible switch disconnect device includes a housing adapted to receive at least one fuse therein, and a switchable contact for connecting the fuse to circuitry. A tripping mechanism and control circuitry are provided to move the switchable contact to an open position in response to a predetermined electrical condition.
SYSTEM FOR PROTECTING AN ELECTRICAL SOURCE OR ELECTRICAL LOAD
The invention relates to a system for protecting an electrical source or an electrical load, having a module comprising an input and an output, and an electronic safety device for the load that can be connected to the source. The module also comprises a voltage monitoring unit, a current monitoring unit, and semiconductor switching units and controllers associated therewith. According to the invention, in order to selectively apply the protection to the source or the protection to the load, a unit for electrical mirroring on the circuit side is provided so that in the event of source protection, the current monitoring unit is applied at the input end and the voltage monitoring unit is applied at the output end, and in the event of load protection, the voltage monitoring unit is applied at the input end and the current monitoring unit is applied at the output end.
Compact low amperage shunt solenoid assembly for 12V to 48V AC/DC supply
A shunt trip assembly structured to be operatively coupled to a number of circuit breakers uses a lever to actuate an operating mechanism of the circuit breakers and uses a selectively powered solenoid to power the lever. The shunt trip assembly is composed from a standardized shunt assembly designed for use with a plurality of different solenoid coils, such that a given standardized shunt assembly will be operative regardless of which of the solenoid coils are added to the standardized shunt assembly. The shunt trip assembly requires less than 10 amps of current to operate; can be powered by any of a 12 volt AC/DC, 24 volt AC/DC, or 48 volt AC/DC power source; and is functional in temperatures ranging from −40° C. to +60° C.
AUXILIARY CONTACT UNIT
An auxiliary contact unit including: a pair of fixed contact pieces; a movable contact piece arranged in a contactable and separable manner to and from the pair of fixed contact pieces; an auxiliary contact support configured to hold the movable contact piece and move in conjunction with opening/closing operation of an electromagnetic contactor; and a unit case configured to house the pair of fixed contact pieces, the movable contact piece, and the auxiliary contact support in a housing portion formed with joining portions of respective ones of a first case member and a second case member opposed to each other, wherein the joining portions of the respective ones of the first and second case members are air-tightly joined to each other.
Accessory device for low and medium voltage switching devices
Accessory device for a low or medium voltage switching device including an outer housing, first electrical connection means adapted to electrically connect the accessory device with an auxiliary power line and first mechanical connection means adapted to mechanically connect the accessory device with a mechanical support component of the switching device. The accessory device includes a power line communication unit electrically connectable with the auxiliary power line through the first electrical connection means and adapted to communicate with outer electronic equipment electrically connected with the auxiliary power line by transmitting and receiving communication signals along the auxiliary power line.
