TRIGGER ELEMENT OF A PRESSURE TRIGGER, PRESSURE TRIGGER WITH A TRIGGER ELEMENT OF THIS KIND AND ELECTRIC SWITCH
A trigger element includes an actuating member of a pressure trigger for an electric switch. The pressure trigger is provided with at least one flow channel per electric pole. The at least one pole of the electric switch includes at least two switch contacts for making or breaking a current path. The switch contacts of the at least one pole of the electric switch is disconnectable via the actuating member, which can respond to a pressure that is generated by an electric arc drawn during electrodynamic recoil of the switch contacts in a separation zone of the two switch contacts. The separation zone is connectable to the actuating member via the flow channel such that the actuating member is guided from a housing of the trigger element between a neutral position and a trigger position. After the trigger position has been reached, a relief of pressure vents the pressure trigger.
Interrupter unit for a circuit breaker
An interrupter unit for a circuit breaker has two electrically conductive arcing contact pieces, which can be moved relative to one another along a switching path. An insulating nozzle has a nozzle channel through which the switching path runs. A heating volume is connected to the nozzle channel. A separating housing divides the heating volume into a cold gas region and a hot gas region. A cold gas duct runs through a nozzle channel end section of the nozzle channel and is connected to the cold gas region. A hot gas duct runs through the nozzle channel end section and is connected to the hot gas region.

High voltage electric power switch with carbon arcing electrodes and carbon dioxide dielectric gas
A high voltage electric switch includes contacts with graphite carbon electrode forming the arc gap. In addition, the carbon contacts are located in a chamber containing at least 60% carbon dioxide (CO2) as a dielectric gas to achieve improved arc interrupting performance. In conventional switches, the metallic contacts introduce metallic vapors into the arc plasma that inhibits the ability of the dielectric gas to interrupt high voltage, high current arcs. As the element carbon is inherently present in CO2 gas, the addition of vapors from the carbon electrodes into the dielectric gas does not significantly interfere with the dielectric arc-interrupting performance of the CO2 dielectric gas.
