The thermostat also includes the core body presenting a cylindrical shape and is provided with two radially opposing projections and a guide hole, with the guide hole centrally arranged to receive a pin in a slidably manner; and the base, in an monolithic body, including: two walls in the form of a cylindrical arc, having collars on their top portions and together defining a cradle for said core body; and sides and faces that are adjacent to the sides. Projecting from said faces are terminals for electrical connection. The short terminal is coupled to a contact blade for contact with the long terminal. The blade is actuated by the pin, which is in turn actuated by the diaphragm. The terminals and the blade are co-injected with the base. Alternatively, the thermostat also includes a heater bias, formed by a pair of resistors in parallel.
BREAKER, SAFETY CIRCUIT AND SECONDARY BATTERY PACK
A breaker is provided with a first terminal piece on which a fixed contact is formed, a movable piece with a movable contact for pressing the movable contact against the fixed contact so as to contact therewith, a thermally-actuated element deforming with a change in temperature and moving the movable piece so that the movable contact is separated from the fixed contact, and a second terminal piece electrically connected to the movable piece. The movable contact includes a first movable contact and a second movable contact arranged at a first end portion and a second end portion, respectively, of the movable piece in its longitudinal direction. The fixed contact includes a first fixed contact arranged at a position with which the first movable contact can contact, and a second fixed contact arranged at a position with which the second movable contact can contact.

Connector with integrated thermal cutoff device for battery pack
A temperature-sensitive battery connector is disclosed. The connector can include a connector body and at least one conductor mounted to the connector body and configured to convey a current signal used to measure voltage from a battery pack or battery cell to a battery management system (BMS). The connector can include a thermal switching device mounted to the connector body and thermally coupled to a terminal of a battery pack or a battery cell. The thermal switching device can be configured to provide an overtemperature signal to the BMS by changing or interrupting a current conducted by at least one conductor when a temperature of the battery pack or battery cell exceeds a threshold temperature.
THERMAL PROTECTOR
A thermal protector includes, in a fixed manner, a first terminal and a second terminal that are respectively connected to external circuits, at lower left/right ends of the longitudinal directions of a base, and a right end at which a movable plate and a bimetal are superimposed is fixed to the right end of the upper surface of the base and is connected to the second terminal. A fixed contact is fixed to an internal end of the first terminal that is exposed in the left end of the base. A movable contact is fixed at a position facing the fixed contact on the lower surface of the left end of the movable plate. A partition wall that encloses the movable contact and the fixed contact from three directions is provided and bent plate planes are formed on both sides of the movable plate in the vicinity of the movable contact. The bent plate planes adjust the flow direction of hot air in cooperation with the partition wall so as to prevent a malfunction of a breaking arc flying to surrounding conductive members.
DUAL COIL ELECTRIC HEATING ELEMENT
An embodiment of an electric heating element is disclosed, including an electrically resistive inner heating element, an electrically resistive outer heating element, and a thermostat positioned underneath a centrally-positioned medallion and along a cold leg of the inner heating element. The thermostat is configured to selectively allow electrical current to be delivered to the inner heating element while maximum electrical current, for example, continues to be provided to the outer heating element. The thermostat cycles the electrical current on and off when detecting maximum and minimum desired temperatures radiated from the electric heating element. The inner heating element has a pair of cold legs that extend parallel to a pair of cold legs of the outer heating element, some or all of which may be supported by a terminal bracket.
THERMAL RESPONSE SWITCH
A thermally responsive switch includes a heating element with a meandering portion formed of a metal plate. The meandering portion is bent twice with respect to reference axes extending in a longitudinal direction of a housing. The meandering portion includes an outer vertical portion that is perpendicular to an inner surface of a lid plate, an inner vertical portion that is perpendicular to the inner surface of the lid plate, and a middle vertical portion that is disposed between the outer vertical portion and the inner vertical portion and is perpendicular to the inner surface of the lid plate. The middle vertical portion has a narrow portion narrower than a width of the middle vertical portion. The narrow portion is provided on an end portion located in one side of the middle vertical portion where no other heating element exists among the two widthwise end portions of the middle vertical portion.
Thermal switch, method of manufacturing the same and device for adjusting height of movable contact
A thermal switch includes a thermally responsive plate assembly including a metal support deforming from an initial shape before a header plate assembly is secured to a housing assembly, with a result that a position of a movable contact in the housing assembly is adjusted so as to be within a predetermined height range relative to an open end of a housing. A contact pressure of switching contacts after the assembling is produced by the height adjustment, and subsequently, a neighborhood of a part of the housing to which part the thermally responsive plate assembly is secured is deformed, so that an operating temperature is calibratable.
