Universal Bus Plug

Systems and methods provide an electrical bus plug on a busway, where the electrical bus plug is universal and configured to fit a plurality of busways. An adapter may fit on the electrical bus plug to allow the bus to properly electrically connect with the specific type of busway. Optional mounting brackets can also be removably attached to the universal electrical bus plug to permit attachment to a specific type of busway. Therefore, a single/universal electrical bus plug can be used to electrically connect to a plurality of busway types through the use of an adapter and mounting hardware that attached to the universal bus plug.

A three-position disconnector switch includes: an earthing contact; a power out contact; a power in contact; a first piston; and a second piston. In a connected switch position the first piston makes an electrical connection with the power out contact and the second piston makes an electrical connection with the power out contact and the power in contact. In a disconnected switch position the first piston makes an electrical connection with the power out contact and the second piston makes an electrical connection with the power out contact. In an earthed switch position the first piston makes an electrical connection with the earthing contact and with the power out contact and the second piston makes an electrical connection with the power out contact.

Proposed is an automatic transfer switch with an N-phase overlapping structure, the switch including: a driving unit including a drive shaft provided to generate power; a three-contact switching unit including a normal power shaft and an emergency power shaft provided to be rotated by the drive shaft, and a normal power terminal and an emergency power terminal for inputting/releasing normal power and emergency power; and an N-phase overlapping unit including a first insertion part having a first insertion hole, an N-phase normal contact terminal provided to input/release an N-phase normal power, a second insertion part having a second insertion hole, an N-phase emergency contact terminal provided to input/release an N-phase emergency power, and a connection bar connected between the first insertion part and the second insertion part so as to be interlocked with each other.

Industrial circuit breaker

A circuit breaker includes two or more poles electrically connected between a power supply and a contactor. Each of the two or more poles comprises a switch. The circuit breaker includes one or more voltage measuring devices configured to measure at least one phase-to-phase voltage level, and one or more current detecting devices configured to detect current going through each of the two or more poles. The circuit breaker further includes a control circuitry configured to: monitor the at least one phase-to-phase voltage level; in response to determining the at least one phase-to-phase voltage level is within a threshold range, close corresponding switches; in response to detecting current flowing through at least one of the two or more poles, maintain the corresponding switches in a closed position; and close all additional switches associated with the two or more poles after a period of time.

A medium voltage circuit breaker switching pole includes: a fixed contact of a vacuum interrupter; a movable contact of the interrupter; and a threaded drive element. The movable contact is configured to move along a longitudinal axis of the interrupter. A centre axis of the drive element is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the interrupter. When in an open configuration the fixed contact and movable contact are separated from one another. When in a closed configuration the fixed contact and movable contact are in contact with one another. Rotation of the drive element about its centre axis in a first direction is configured to transition the switching pole from the open configuration to the closed configuration. Rotation of the drive element about its centre axis in a second direction counter to the first direction is configured to transition the switching pole from the closed configuration to the open configuration.

CURRENT BALANCING FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCHES

An automatic transfer switch includes a first phase switch component having a first plurality of cassettes, and at least one outer bus component disposed at an outer side of the first phase switch component. The automatic transfer switch additionally includes a first plate which is disposed on the outer side of the first phase switch component at a terminal end of the first phase switch component. The first plate is structured to increase impedance on an outer bus component of the first phase switch component to rebalance current along the first phase switch component.

A three-position disconnector switch includes: an earthing contact; a power out contact; a power in contact; a first piston; and a second piston. In a connected switch position the first piston makes an electrical connection with the power out contact and the second piston makes an electrical connection with the power out contact and the power in contact. In a disconnected switch position the first piston makes an electrical connection with the power out contact and the second piston makes an electrical connection with the power out contact. In an earthed switch position the first piston makes an electrical connection with the earthing contact and with the power out contact and the second piston makes an electrical connection with the power out contact.

The central plinth comprises rear fixing means capable of fixing a rear plinth intended to bear two rear switch modules, lateral fixing means capable of fixing two lateral plinths intended to each bear a lateral switch module, an actuation mechanism intended to actuate a central switch module, and means for transmitting movements of the actuation mechanism toward the rear plinth and the lateral plinths to be able to actuate the rear and lateral switch modules. A three-phase electrical switching device comprising such a central module is also disclosed.
