A secondary battery includes a first electrode plate and a second electrode plate, a case accommodating the electrode plates, and a cap assembly to seal the case. The cap assembly has a short-circuit hole and a cap plate electrically connected to the first electrode plate. The battery also includes an inversion plate spaced from a short-circuit plate. The inversion plate is positioned in or over the short-circuit hole and bent toward the case. The short-circuit plate is electrically connected to the second electrode plate. When an internal pressure of the battery exceeds a value, the inversion plate moves to contact the short-circuit plate, which, in turn, breaks a fuse. A groove is included in the gap assembly adjacent the short-circuit plate. When the inversion plate moves under excessive pressure, an edge portion of the gap assembly deforms away from the short-circuit plate.

A battery module comprises a plurality of electrically interconnected battery cells, a module cover, and a battery cell monitoring unit. The battery cells include at least one terminal cover. The battery cell monitoring unit is positioned on an inner face of the at least one terminal cover.

A secondary battery includes a can having an opening at one end, an electrode assembly accommodated in the can through the opening, a cap plate that seals the opening, and an insulation plate below the cap plate. The can includes: a first surface that is convex; a second surface that faces the first surface and is concave; a third surface that is curved and connected to the first surface and the second surface to form a bottom surface; a first connection portion that connects the first surface and the third surface and has a round form having a first radius of curvature; and a second connection portion that connects the second surface and the third surface and has a round form having a second radius of curvature. At least one of the first radius of curvature and the second radius of curvature varies along a length of the third surface.

The secondary battery of the present application includes a cell, an electrolyte and a case, the cell includes electrodes and a separator. The secondary battery further includes a gas-generating additive and a water-generating additive. During the overcharging process of the Li-ion battery, when the battery reaches a certain temperature, the water-generating additive decomposes and generates a large amount of water. Then, Li salt and the gas-generating additive are induced to decompose and generate a large amount of gas, so that when the internal pressure of the battery reaches a certain value, the charging current is interrupted in advance by a device for interrupting charging current. Moreover, the water-generating additive can absorb the heat generated by the battery during decomposition, so that the internal temperature of the battery decreases, thereby preventing the overcharge failure of the battery.

A battery pack includes: a bare cell including an electrode terminal on a first surface thereof; a holder at the first surface and including a fixing groove at an upper surface thereof; a protection circuit module at the fixing groove and electrically connected to the bare cell; and a protection member attached to the protection circuit module. The protection member is attached to an upper surface of the protection circuit module, and the upper surface is at a lower height than upper edges of the fixing groove. An upper surface of the protection member is at a height that is the same as or lower than a height of edges of the holder.

A battery pack includes a plurality of battery modules in a stacked arrangement. The plurality of battery modules includes a first battery module that includes: at least one battery cell including a cell lead; a cartridge on which the at least one battery cell is mounted; and a first cooling cover. The first cooling cover is coupled to the cartridge and covers the at least one battery cell. The cartridge includes: a seating portion on which the at least one battery cell is seated; and a pressing portion that is formed on the seating portion and that is configured to, based on an external force being applied to the seating portion, apply pressure to a first end of a second cooling cover of a second battery module that neighbors the first battery module in the stacked arrangement.

A secondary battery having no beading portion includes an electrode assembly having a cathode plate and an anode plate arranged with a separator being interposed therebetween, a battery case having an upper can configured to accommodate the electrode assembly and an electrolytic solution in an inner space thereof and have an open top and an open bottom, the top of the upper can being bent inwards, and a lower sealing member coupled to the bottom of the upper can to seal the bottom of the upper can, and a cap assembly having a top cap protruding on an uppermost portion thereof to form a cathode terminal, a safety vent located below the top cap and configured to change a shape when an inner pressure of the battery case increases, and a gasket surrounding rims of the top cap and the safety vent.

The present application provides a top cover of a power battery, including a top cover plate, a first electrode unit and a second electrode unit, the top cover plate is provided with a deformable plate connecting hole and an insulation piece accommodating portion, the first electrode unit includes a deformable plate, a conductive plate and a first insulation piece, the deformable plate seals the deformable plate connecting hole, the conductive plate is located underneath the deformable plate, the first insulation piece includes a top cover plate connecting portion and a conductive plate connecting portion, the top cover plate connecting portion extends into the insulation piece accommodating portion and is fixed thereof, the conductive plate is insulated and fixed with the top cover plate through the conductive plate connecting portion. The present application further provides a power battery, including the top cover of the power battery.

The present application provides a top cover of power battery, including top cover plate, first electrode unit and second electrode unit, the first electrode unit includes insulation piece, conductive plate, deformable plate and sealing piece, the top cover plate is provided with deformable plate connecting hole and fixing hole, the deformable plate seals the deformable plate connecting hole, the insulation piece is provided with top cover plate connecting portion and conductive plate connecting portion, the insulation piece is fixed underneath the top cover plate through cooperation of top cover plate connecting portion and fixing hole, the conductive plate is insulated from and fixed with the top cover plate through the conductive plate connecting portion, the conductive plate is electrically connected with the deformable plate, the sealing piece seals path from the fixing hole to interior of the power battery passing through gap between insulation piece and top cover plate.

The present application provides a top cover of a power battery and the power battery. The top cover of the power battery includes a first electrode unit and a second electrode unit, the second electrode unit includes a deformable plate, an insulation piece and a conductive plate, the top cover plate is provided with a deformable plate connecting hole, the deformable plate seals the deformable plate connecting hole, the insulation piece is located underneath the top cover plate, the insulation piece is connected with the top cover plate, the conductive plate is insulated from and fixed with the top cover plate through the insulation piece and is electrically connected with the deformable plate. The power battery includes the above top cover of the power battery. The power battery provided by the present application can effectively prevent breaking, losing efficacy or deformation of the conductive plate during using process.
