NEW SINGLE POLARIZED ARRAY WAVEGUIDE ANTENNA
The present invention discloses a new single polarized array waveguide antenna adapted to be configured above a signal processing substrate, and including an antenna array substrate and a waveguide body. The antenna array substrate includes a plurality of antenna units, each of which having a coupling portion and an impedance matching portion. The waveguide body is configured above the antenna array substrate, and includes a plurality of waveguide channels passing through the waveguide body. Each waveguide channel has a first ridge and a second ridge projecting from wall surfaces and arranged opposite to each other. The first ridge has a first lower withdrawn edge on a lower section of the waveguide channel, and the second ridge has a second lower withdrawn edge on the lower section of the waveguide channel. The first lower withdrawn edge is distanced from the antenna array substrate by a first matching height, and the second lower withdrawn edge is distanced from the antenna array substrate by a second matching height, wherein the first matching height is different from the second matching height. Accordingly, signal transmission quality is improved by the structural arrangement above.
NEW DUAL POLARIZED ARRAY WAVEGUIDE ANTENNA
The present invention discloses a new dual polarized array waveguide antenna configured above a signal processing substrate and sequentially including an antenna array substrate, a coupling substrate and a waveguide body. The antenna array substrate includes a plurality of patches, each of which having a first coupling portion and a second coupling portion coupled to the signal processing substrate. The top surface of the coupling substrate includes a plurality of coupling pads corresponding to the patches, and each coupling pad is configured above an intersection area of the first coupling portion and the second coupling portion. The waveguide body includes a plurality of waveguide channels passing through the waveguide body and corresponding to the coupling pads. Each waveguide channel has a first ridge pair and a second ridge pair projecting from wall surfaces. Each of the first ridge pair and the second ridge pair has a tapered opening portion withdrawn toward the wall surface of the waveguide channel on an upper section of the waveguide channel. Accordingly, signal transmission quality is improved by the structural arrangement above.
Radiofrequency module
Radiofrequency module, including: a first layer including an array of radiating elements, each radiating element having a cross section for supporting at least one wave propagation mode, a second layer forming an array of waveguides; a fourth layer forming an array of ports; the second layer being interposed between the first and the fourth layer; each waveguide being connected to a port on the one hand and to a radiating element on the other hand for transmitting a radiofrequency signal between this port and this radiating element; the spacing between two ports being different from the spacing between the radiating elements, so that the surface area of the first layer is different from the surface area of the fourth layer; the waveguides being curved.
HORN ANTENNA ELEMENT
A horn antenna element includes a septum polarizer configured to transform a linear polarized input signal into a circular polarized output signal at a common port, and a horn radiator. The horn radiator includes an input geometry formed as a quad-ridge waveguide to receive the circular polarized output signal at the common port and an aperture grid to radiate a grid-based circular polarized output signal. The septum polarizer is embedded in the quad-ridge waveguide at the common port.
LOW-PROFILE AUTOMOTIVE UNIVERSAL ANTENNA SYSTEM
A multiband antenna comprises a dielectric substrate with a first surface defining an annular ledge and a central recess with a plurality of pockets. A MIMO radiator body is disposed in the central recess having a first surface defining a plurality of lobes which are disposed in respective ones of the plurality of pockets and having a second surface defining an outer rim and a central shelf. A radiator ring is disposed at the annular ledge so that the radiator ring and the outer rim converge along an annular gap therebetween. A plurality of MIMO feed lines provide external connection to respective lobes. The MIMO radiator body and the radiator ring provide a substantially horizontally-directed radiation pattern (e.g., for terrestrial signals). At least one low-profile radiator on the central shelf provides a substantially circularly polarized or vertically-directed radiation pattern for receiving signals radiated from a satellite.
CONTINUOUS RESONANCE TRAP REFRACTOR BASED ASSEMBLY
A tapered core waveguide which may be configured as a spectral component splitter, a spectral component combiner, and various combinations thereof including a reflective mode of operation. The tapered core waveguide has an aperture and cladding, and is dimensioned such that radiant energy admitted into the core via the aperture and having at least two spectral components would be emitted via the cladding at a location dependent on its frequency and/or its polarization, and that a plurality of spectral components injected to the core via the cladding will be mixed and emitted via the aperture.
Ring focus antenna system with an ultra-wide bandwidth
A ring focus antenna system has an ultra-wide bandwidth for receiving and transmitting electromagnetic (EM) signals. The system includes a main reflector having an axis of rotation and a splash plate feed assembly consisting of a waveguide and a sub-reflector which is substantially aligned with the axis of rotation. The sub-reflector has surfaces that include segments of a displaced ellipse, having a first focal point which coincides with an ISO phase center located inside the waveguide and a second focal point located on a ring focus of the main reflector. A dielectric support for the sub-reflector has a shaped boundary which eliminates refraction at the dielectric-air interface. In one embodiment, the ultra-wide bandwidth includes EM frequencies belonging to Ku-band and Ka-band communication frequencies. The waveguide may be configured as a quad-ridged polarizing waveguide.
