An electronic device including an antenna module is provided. The electronic device includes a 5th generation (5G) antenna module that includes an antenna array, at least one conductive region operating as a ground with respect to the antenna array, and a first communication circuit feeding a power to the antenna array to communicate through a millimeter wave signal, and a printed circuit board (PCB) that includes a second communication circuit and a ground region. The second communication circuit feeds the power to an electrical path at least including the at least one conductive region and transmits or receives a signal in a frequency band different from a frequency band of the millimeter wave signal based on the electrical path supplied with the power and the ground region.

A radio frequency (RF) beam transmission component having optical inputs and electrical outputs may include a wavelength selective switch (WSS) that has a plurality of optical WSS outputs. Each optical WSS output may be configured to transmit one or more wavelengths of the incoming optical signals. The RF beam transmission component may include a plurality of photodetectors (PD), each photodetector having an optical PD input coupled to one or more of said plurality of optical WSS outputs and a corresponding electrical output of a plurality of PD electrical outputs. The RF beam transmission component may further include a lens that has a plurality of electrical inputs and each electrical input may be electrically coupled to at least one of the plurality of electrical PD outputs. The lens may further have a plurality of electrical lens output ports.

An apparatus includes a plurality of conductive structures having first sides and second sides opposite the first sides, wherein the second sides of the plurality of conductive structures are configured to be physically coupleable with a printed circuit board (PCB) of a receiver or a transmitter. The first sides of the plurality of conductive structures are configured to be spaced from the PCB by a first distance when the plurality of conductive structures is physically coupled with the PCB. The apparatus includes an antenna having a first side and a second side opposite the first side. The first side of the antenna includes a radiating side of the antenna and the second side of the antenna is disposed closer to the plurality of conductive structures than the first side of the antenna when the plurality of conductive structures is physically coupled with the PCB.

The portable tracker device also includes Radio Frequency (RF) circuitry configured to operate within at least one of a Bluetooth (BT) frequency range and an Ultra-Wideband (UWB) frequency range. Also, the portable tracker device includes a piezoelectric device having a first conductive plate and a second conductive plate. The RF circuitry utilizes at least one of the front cover, the back cover, the first conductive plate, and the second conductive plate as one or more antennas.

This application provides a multi-band antenna. The antenna includes a feeder and a radiating element connected to the feeder, and further includes: a first notch structure, where the first notch structure is located on a side of the radiating element and is coupled to the radiating element; and a second notch structure, where the second notch structure is located on a side of the first notch structure and far from the radiating element, and an end that is of the second notch structure and that is far from the radiating element is grounded. The first notch structure may be selectively connected to the ground or to the second notch structure.

This application provides a multi-band antenna. The antenna includes a feeder and a radiating element connected to the feeder, and further includes: a first notch structure, where the first notch structure is located on a side of the radiating element and is coupled to the radiating element; and a second notch structure, where the second notch structure is located on a side of the first notch structure and far from the radiating element, and an end that is of the second notch structure and that is far from the radiating element is grounded. An antenna structure includes a substrate, a radiator mounted at an upper portion of a front surface of the substrate, and a grounding element mounted at a lower portion of the front surface of the substrate. The radiator has a first radiating portion. A lower edge of the first radiating portion extends downward to form a second radiating portion. Two portions of a middle of the lower edge of the first radiating portion extend downward to form a third radiating portion and a feeding portion. A free end of the feeding portion is a feeding end. One side edge of the first radiating portion is recessed inward to form a recess. The grounding element has a first grounding portion and a second grounding portion. The first grounding portion and the second grounding portion are located to two sides of the feeding portion, respectively.

MINIATURIZED MULTIFUNCTIONAL ULTRAWIDEBAND ANTENNA SYSTEM

The embodiments herein provide a miniaturized multifunction ultra-wideband antenna comprising an omnidirectional radiator and unidirectional radiator. The planar Square Monopole Antenna (SMA) with a maximum dimension of λg/5 provides a 10:1 ultra-wide bandwidth with an omnidirectional radiation pattern. The coplanar waveguide technology is the technology incorporated along with Heptagonal Microstrip Patch Antenna (HMPA) placed above a Full Ground Plane (FGP) to achieve unidirectional radiation pattern. The Heptagonal Microstrip Patch Antenna (HMPA) backed with the Pi shaped Parasitic Patch (PSPP) is electromagnetically coupled to the Full Ground Plane (FGP) through the Shorting Pins (SP). Good isolation is achieved through the orthogonal arrangement segregated with the Square Slot (SS) and Inverted L shaped slot (ILSS). The stacked quasi TEM structure backed with a Partial Ground Plane (PGP) are configured on a single platform providing unidirectional and omnidirectional radiation pattern for short-range sensing and indoor communications.
