ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR
20230025463 · 2023-01-26 · ·

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, and a pair of contacts which are secured together by a clamp mounted within the housing. Each electrical contact includes a planar body, spring fingers extending from a first end of the body, and a coupling extending from the body to couple the electrical contacts to the housing. A first deflection zone between the clamp and first ends of the spring fingers allows the spring fingers to deflect in a lateral direction to receive the conductive component within the receiving space. A second deflection zone between the first ends of the spring fingers and the second ends of the bodies allow the bodies and spring fingers to deflect in the lateral direction when the conductive component is received within the receiving space, but the conductive component is not directly aligned with the receiving space.

In one implementation, the elongated body may include: a first body end portion forming a first tab insertable into a first portion of a socket defined by the first housing end portion; and a second body end portion forming a second tab insertable into a second portion of the socket defined by the second housing end portion.

CABLE CONNECTOR SYSTEM

A cable connector includes a cable including a center conductor and a housing supporting a portion of the center conductor. An imaginary line divides a cross-section of the center conductor into two semicircles, and when the cable connector is mated with a mating connector, only one of the two semicircles is directly connected with a corresponding contact of the mating connector.

Electrical connector

The present disclosure provides an electrical connector comprising an insulating body, a terminal component, and a fixing component. The insulating body comprises a mating slot. The terminal component is disposed in the mating slot. The terminal component comprises a pair of first terminal members and a pair of second terminal members. The pair of first terminal members are disposed between the pair of second terminal members. Each of the first terminal members comprises a plurality of first elastic contacting parts and a cable connecting part. Each of the second terminal members comprises a plurality of second elastic contacting parts. The plurality of second elastic contacting parts correspondingly abut against the plurality of first elastic contacting parts. The fixing component fixes the pair of the first terminal members and the pair of the second terminal members. A cable is directly connected to each of the cable connecting parts.

DECOUPLED SPRING AND ELECTRICAL PATH IN CONNECTOR INTERFACE

Connectors that support high-speed data transfers and have a high signal quality, good reliability, and are readily manufactured. One example can provide a connector receptacle that supports high-speed data transfers and has a high signal quality by employing contacts that are directly attached to a flexible circuit board.

Electrical female terminal

An electrical female terminal for mating with a connector assembly generally including a main body, a two-bodied spring, and a wire fastening portion. A protrusion extends from an unattached end portion of the lever member, the protrusion having faces angled relative to each other to efficiently deflect the lever member upwards when the protrusion interacts with an internal protrusion of a housing or a connector assembly. A top portion of the retainer member of the electrical female terminal, located above the two-bodied spring, has a dimple portion. The terminal face or leading end portion of the electrical female terminal is prevented from damaging or cutting a silicone seal. The overstress feature of the tang member of the lever is improved upon by relocating and reshaping the protruding member thereof. The configuration or shape of the cross-section across the upper portion and the support member at the front end portion of the main body of the electrical female terminal is substantially U-shaped. The configuration or shape of the cross-section across the attached end portion of the lever member of the electrical female terminal is also substantially U-shaped. The electrical female terminal is formed as a continuous and contiguous single construction having included therein at least the main body, the two-bodied spring, and the wire fastening portion and/or the lever member (or tang member), along with the neck member that joins the main body and the wire fastening portion.

Contact members and electrical terminals are described. An example contact member has a first panel, a second panel, and an interspace defined between the first panel and the second panel. Each of the first and second panels has a plurality of posts. Each post of the plurality of posts has a plurality of slots and a contact point. Each slot of the plurality of slots is disposed adjacent to the contact point. Each post of the plurality of posts extends into the interspace such that the contact point is disposed within the interspace. Each post of the plurality of posts is moveable between a first position and a second position to accommodate retention of an electrically conductive structure and an electrical connection between the electrically conductive structure and the contact member.

The present invention provides a contact member that strikes a balance between low electrical resistance and sliding durability under the condition of load as low as about 0.1 N. A contact member of the invention has a metal base and a coating disposed on at least part of the metal base. The coating contains fluorinated oil having a polar group, and metal particles surface-treated with a fluorine-based compound having a polar group.

Female Connector And Connector Assembly

The present disclosure provides a female connector and a connector combination. The female connector includes: a female terminal having a first end for mating with a male connector or a gold finger circuit board, and a second end for connection with a PCB board, the female terminal being formed with at least one shape abruptly-changed portion between the first end and the second end, and a high-frequency radiation area being formed in the vicinity of the shape abruptly-changed portion when the first end is mated with the male connector or the gold finger circuit board; and a wave-absorbing material disposed in a spatial range covered by the high-frequency radiation area. By selectively disposing the wave-absorbing material in an area where a high-frequency radiation is easily generated during the use of the connector, crosstalk signals are absorbed, while normally transmitted electrical signals are retained, and an overall weight of the connector is light.
