To help maintain and improve signal integrity, a connector housing can include one or more of the following: asymmetric keying features, asymmetric alignment features, and alternating stitched contacts. First and second contact rows and third and fourth contact rows can each have a first row pitch, and the second and the third contact rows can have a second, greater row pitch. First and second keying structures can be positioned non-symmetrically about both longitudinal and median centerlines of the connector housing. If first, second, third, and fourth contacts all lie on a common centerline of the connector housing, the first and the third contacts can be inserted in a first direction, and the second and the fourth contacts can be inserted in a second, opposite direction. First and second contact securing structures can engage the connector housing at different heights of the connector housing.

A header power connector includes a header housing assembly including an inner housing received in a cavity of an outer housing. The inner housing has upper and lower openings open to a terminal cavity configured to receive busbars. The inner housing is movable relative to the outer housing to accommodate misalignment of the busbars in the terminal cavity. A terminal is received in the terminal cavity having a terminal base, an upper mating end and a lower mating end. The upper mating end includes an upper socket flanked by upper spring beams that receives the first busbar and the lower mating end includes a lower socket flanked by lower spring beams that receives the second busbar. The terminal is movable in the terminal cavity to accommodate misalignment of the first busbar and the second busbar in the terminal cavity.

Floating connector

A floating connector comprises a movable housing, a plurality of contacts and at least one ground member. Each of the contacts has a fixed portion, a first held portion, a coupling portion, an extending portion and a contact portion. The coupling portion is resiliently deformable. The movable housing is movable within a predetermined range in a plane perpendicular to an up-down direction by the resilient deformation. The contacts include a plurality of ground contacts and a signal contact. The ground member has a plurality of ground contact portions, a plurality of supporting portions, a ground coupling portion and a second held portion. The ground contact portions correspond to the ground contacts, respectively. Each of the ground contact portions is brought into contact with the corresponding ground contact even when the movable housing is moved within the predetermined range. The ground coupling portion couples the supporting portions with each other.
