The connecting device is detachably attachable to an accessory shoe device of an electronic apparatus. An engagement member is attachable to the accessory shoe device by sliding in a first direction. A holding member is fixed to the engagement member by fastening members. A connecting plug has connection terminals and is arranged at a front part in the first direction of the holding member. The fastening members are arranged at positions that are spaced apart from each other in a second direction that perpendicularly intersects with the first direction. A width of the holding member is shorter than a width of the engagement member in the second direction, and the connection terminals are arranged in an area between the positions of the fastening members.

An implantable medical device includes a cover assembly and a feedthrough assembly that couples with the cover assembly. The cover assembly receives a connector end of a lead having lead contacts, and aligns the lead contacts with pockets or apertures of the cover assembly. The feedthrough assembly may include feedthrough contacts in the form of feedthrough pins at or above a surface of a feedthrough substrate, or conductive vias on the surface of the substrate. Electrical contacts configured as leaf spring contact assemblies, torsion spring contacts, or torsion spring contact assemblies are permanently attached to the feedthrough contacts. When the cover assembly and feedthrough assembly are coupled, contact tabs of the electrical contacts are positioned in the pockets or apertures of the cover assembly. Upon complete seating of the cover assembly and feedthrough assembly, the contact tabs are compressed into contact with the lead contacts.

A connector assembly and system assembling an electric connector assembly are provided. The connector assembly includes a connector housing having a plurality of terminal cavities greater than the predetermined number of electric connections so as to define an empty terminal cavity and a filled terminal cavity. The connector housing further includes a blocking member. The blocking member is the blocking member disposed within each of the empty terminal cavities. Accordingly, the blocking member closes off each of the empty terminal cavities so as to prevent fluid transfer between the terminal positioning assurance member and the connector positioning assurance member so as to prevent fluid and debris transfer between the terminal positioning assurance member and the connector positioning assurance member, or stated in another way, prevents fluid and debris transfer between the first open end and the second open end.

Connector Unit

A connector unit includes a first connector, a second connector and a seal member to be interposed therebetween. The first connector includes a fitting portion having a distal end portion. The second connector includes a fitted portion. A thickness of the fitting portion is reduced at the distal end portion with an inner peripheral surface of the distal end portion being recessed. The fitted portion includes an attachment portion to which the seal member is to be attached and a housing portion. When the first connector and the second connector are fitted to each other, the distal end portion is accommodated in the housing portion, and the seal member performs sealing between the fitting portion and the fitted portion by being sandwiched between the attachment portion and a portion of the fitting portion, the portion being provided further in a second direction than the distal end portion.
