Electrical connector with mate assist having feedback
A connector has a housing configured to mate with a second housing, a pair of slide members movably mounted on the housing, and a lever pivotably attached to the housing and slidably coupled to the slide members. Each slide member has a cam groove in a side surface which provides an angled lead-in surface into the cam groove and cam surfaces engageable with a cam follower post of the second housing. A blocking shoulder partially blocking an opening of the cam groove to prevent entry of the cam follower post unless the cam follower post is in a correct position. When the cam follower post engages the angled lead-in surface, this provides a visual and tactile indication to a user that the connector is ready to be mated with the second housing.
Couplings for implanted leads and external stimulators, and associated systems and methods
Couplings for implanted leads and external stimulators, and associated systems and methods are disclosed. A connector in accordance with a particular embodiment includes a first housing portion and a second housing portion pivotably connected to each other. The first housing portion has an elongated fixed stop opening. The second housing portion has a stop element and a plurality of connector contacts positioned to electrically contact a plurality of connection contacts of a spinal cord stimulation lead. The first and second housing portions are pivotably connected to each other to move between a partially-opened position in which the stop element is in a first location in the elongated fixed stop opening, and a closed position in which the stop element has a second location in the elongated fixed stop opening.
CONNECTOR
It is aimed to provide a connector capable of dealing with a change in the number of poles without structurally changing a mating connector. Housings (11) for accommodating terminal fittings (12) electrically connectable to tab-like terminals (52) include a main housing (11M) having a locking structure (21) for locking a mating connector (52) and a plurality of types of sub-housings (11S) having different number of poles and selectively unitable with the main housing (11M). The main housing (11M) and the sub-housing (11S) are united by coupling side surfaces to each other. A tab insertion groove (25) into which the tab-like terminal (52) is to be inserted at the time of connection to the mating connector is formed in a coupling part of the united housings (11).
Electronic device testing apparatus with locking mechanism for pressing header and socket plate
An electronic device testing apparatus with a locking mechanism for locking a press head and a socket plate is provided. When an electronic device is to be tested, a lifting arm is lowered so that a contact portion is in contact with the electronic device, and a locking mechanism is actuated to detain the press head on the socket plate. A pressing force generating device exerts a pressing force onto the electronic device and the socket plate, and at least a portion of a reaction force can be directed back to the locking mechanism. The locking mechanism is adapted to detain the press head on the socket plate. When the pressing force generating device generates a predetermined pressing force to certainly establish electrical connection between the electronic device and the chip socket, the reaction force produced by the chip socket may be distributed over the locking mechanism.
Connector and connector assembly comprising the same
A connector is provided. The connector includes a connector body formed with a terminal portion, a locking body slidably coupled to the connector body, and a spring including a first leg portion fixed in position inside the connector body and a second leg portion making contact with the locking body. The spring is configured to apply a restoring force to the locking body in a direction in which the second leg portion is moved away from the first leg portion.
Push-push fixing structure and chip detecting module
A push-push fixing structure includes a base, a guiding element, a flexible element and a locating element. The guiding element is disposed on the base, includes a first guiding groove, a second guiding groove and a locating portion. The first guiding groove is connected to the second guiding groove, the locating portion is located at a junction of the first guiding groove and the second guiding groove. The flexible element is disposed on the base and pressed against the guiding element. The locating element has a first end portion and second end portion opposite to each other. The first end portion is disposed on the base. The second end portion is slidably disposed in the first guiding groove and the second guiding groove of the guiding element. When the guiding element is moved by push force, the second end portion of the locating element slides along the first guiding groove and the second guiding groove, and locates at the locating portion.
Medical lead fastener including integrated clamp
This disclosure includes techniques for securing the proximal ends of a medical lead to the connector block of an IMD with a fastener device that incorporates a flexible clamp. A fastener device for a medical device comprising a flexible clamp forming a clamp aperture, wherein the flexible clamp includes a clamp protrusion configured to facilitate actuation of the flexible clamp, a rigid body, wherein the rigid body connects to and surrounds the flexible clamp, and an actuator configured to actuate on the clamp protrusion to change a perimeter of the clamp aperture, wherein the change of the perimeter of the clamp aperture by the actuator is configured to apply a compressive force about a perimeter of an electrical contact of a medical lead in the clamp aperture to electrically and mechanically connect the medical lead to the fastener device.
An apparatus for electrical connection in wells and other remote environments
An apparatus comprising an electrically powered device. The apparatus comprises a functional device, a device electrical terminal, a casing, a power supply and a casing electrical terminal. The apparatus is characterised in that corresponding physical retaining means are provided on the device and the casing respectively, to ensure that physical connection between the device electrical terminal and the casing electrical terminal is maintained, during use of the apparatus. The physical retaining means of the apparatus automatically engages when the device is moved into the desired position relative to the casing.
Quick connect electrical connector system
An electrical connector system includes a connector with a plug. A shroud extends over a portion of the plug and is coupled with the plug. A conductive socket is configured for receiving the plug of the connector. The socket includes a groove formed on an outer surface thereof. The shroud includes spring fingers having a lock portion thereon configured for engaging the groove for securing the connector in the socket.
