A plug connector includes: a housing module having a mating end and including a first housing and a second housing assembled with the first housing to define a cavity therebetween; and a mating board received in the cavity and exposed to an exterior at a position close to the mating end; wherein the first housing has a main portion and a tongue extending from the main portion, the second housing has a receiving space receiving the tongue, and the tongue is deformed to latch within the receiving space.
Electrical card connector
An electrical card connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of contacts retained to the housing, a metallic shield attached to the housing and cooperating with the housing to form a receiving cavity for receiving therein an electrical card, and a card holding mechanism located beside the receiving cavity. The card holding mechanism includes a slider, a spring abutting against the slider and deformable in the front-to-back direction, and a resilient locking device. The locking device includes a securing part retained to the slider, a resilient arm extending from the securing part with a locking protrusion for engagement within a locking notch of the electrical card. The slider provides an abutment face. The free end of the locking arm is adapted to abut against the abutment face when the electrical card is inserted into or withdrawn from the receiving cavity to outwardly deflect the resilient arm.
RETENTION LATCH WITH SPRING MECHANISM
An embodiment of a latch apparatus for a circuit board comprises a first latch body with a retention mechanism for the circuit board, a second latch body with a coupling mechanism for a connector, and a spring mechanism mechanically coupled between the first latch body and the second latch body. Other embodiments are disclosed and claimed.
Electrical connector for FFC/FPC
An electrical connector for receiving an FFC/FPC includes an insulating housing, a plurality of conductive terminals, a pair of retaining pins, and a metal cover. The insulating housing includes a main body and a pair of shoulder parts. Each shoulder part has a guiding bump, and a pre-pressing board. An oblique-entry space is formed between the guiding bump and the pre-pressing board. The pair of retaining pins are respectively fixed in the pair of shoulder parts. A bottom end of the retaining pin is exposed from the bottom surface of the insulating housing. The metal cover is slidably disposed on the top surface of the insulating housing, and includes a top pressing plate and a pair of side sliding rails. A front end of the top pressing plate has a pressing rib. The metal cover is movably arranged between an initial position and a pressed position.
PLUG CONNECTOR
A plug connector includes: a housing module having a mating end and including a first housing and a second housing assembled with the first housing to define a cavity therebetween; and a mating board received in the cavity and exposed to an exterior at a position close to the mating end; wherein the first housing has a main portion and a tongue extending from the main portion, the second housing has a receiving space receiving the tongue, and the tongue is deformed to latch within the receiving space.
Card edge connector equipped with ejector interacting with neighboring contacts
A card edge connector includes an insulative elongated housing defining an elongated slot extending along a longitudinal direction. Two rows of contacts are disposed in the housing so as to be paired in each cross-sectional plane in a transverse direction. A pair of towers are located at two opposite ends of the housing in the longitudinal direction. A pair of ejectors/lockers are disposed in the corresponding towers and rotational about a pivot extending along the transverse direction. Each ejector has a bottom kicker adapted to intimately confront a bottom edge of the memory module for ejecting the memory module out of the housing. The kicker slightly interferes with the contacting sections of the neighboring contacts when the ejector is located at an outer position so as to be retained in position with regard to the housing.
HOUSING WITH LATERAL HOOKS
A fluid ejection device, in an example, that includes a housing with the housing including a plurality of lateral hooks to engage with a plurality of posts of a connector, the lateral hooks running, at least partially, parallel to a cable receiving surface wherein a portion of a printed circuit board (PCB) comprising electrical interconnects extends beyond the cable receiving surface to interface with the connector.
Connector with anchoring power pin
Anchoring power pins are described herein. In one embodiment, a system includes a circuit board including a through hole, and a connector for coupling a module with the circuit board. The connector includes housing including a module-facing side to receive the module and a circuit board-facing side to couple with the circuit board. The connector includes a conductive power pin to both physically anchor the connector to the circuit board and electrically couple the module with the circuit board, the conductive power pin including a tip protruding from the circuit board-facing side of the connector to extend into a matching through hole in the circuit board.
Card edge connector having metallic member formed integrally with insulative housing
A card edge connector includes an elongated insulative housing, a number of terminals retained to the housing, and a metallic member formed integrally with the housing via an insert-molding process. The housing includes two lengthwise walls, a central slot defining by the two lengthwise walls, and two protrusions located at two opposite ends of the two lengthwise walls. The protrusions protrude upwardly out of an upper surface of the lengthwise walls. The metallic member includes two main portions retained respectively in the two lengthwise walls and a pair of connecting portions connecting therebetween. The connecting portions are located at the bottom of the metallic member.
MIDBOARD CABLE TERMINOLOGY ASSEMBLY
A cable termination assembly configured for mounting to an interior portion of a printed circuit board. The cable termination assembly has a frame shaped to receive a paddle card to which a plurality of cables are terminated. A lid, when closed, may force the paddle card into contact with an interposer, which in turn may be pressed into a printed circuit board on which the cable termination assembly is mounted. Electrical signals may pass between the cables and traces in the printed circuit board via the paddle card and interposer. The termination assembly may be mounted near a processor or other high speed component on the printed circuit board, enabling high speed signals to be coupled with low loss between a periphery of the printed circuit board, or even a location off the printed circuit board, and the high speed component.
