COMMUNICATION ARRANGEMENT
The present invention relates to a communication arrangement configured to allow wired communication between an electronic host device and an electrical slave device, such as between a smart phone and a smart card during an enrollment process. The invention also relates to a method for providing instructions to a user of a smart card during an enrollment process.
Communication connector having contact pads contacted by movable contact members
A communication outlet for use with a communication plug comprising a plurality of plug contacts. The outlet includes contact pads, contact members, and a biasing member. The contact members each have an electrically conductive portion attached to an electrically non-conductive portion. Each of the conductive portions forms an electrical connection with a different corresponding one of the contact pads. Each of the contact members is movable with respect to its corresponding contact pad. The contact members are movable with respect the plug contacts. The biasing member is attached to the non-conductive portion of each of the contact members and is configured to bias the conductive portion of each of the contact members toward a different corresponding one of the plug contacts when the plug is inserted into the outlet.
Field terminable RJ45 plug assembly
A field terminal plug assembly including an RJ45 plug connected to a termination zone. The termination zone includes a wire cap, a rear sled, and an electrical board assembly with attached insulation displacement contacts (IDCs) electrically connected to the twisted wire-pairs of assembly cable. The wire cap is configured to terminate twisted wire-pairs of a communications cable to the IDCs when the wire cap is inserted into the rear sled. The IDCs contain at least a first and a second IDC, the first IDC having a first horizontal length and a first vertical length and the second IDC having a second horizontal length and a second vertical length. The first vertical length does not equal the second vertical length but the first vertical length plus the first horizontal length equals the second vertical length plus the second horizontal length.

MULTI-FUNCTIONAL POSITION HOLDER AND CONNECTOR INCLUDING SAME
A single multi-functional position holder is positioned in a receiving space of a housing to implement multiple functions of: satisfying a limitation on the height of a connector by making contact with an insertion portion and a concentric mounting portion of a connector assembly assembled through a curling process; increasing durability to absorb an internal load attributable to the curling process, by making tight contact with the housing; and preventing shaking of a PCB assembly due to a disturbance by restricting the PCB assembly to hold a PCB, thereby reducing the number of component parts of the connector, the process steps, and the cost. In particular, the multi-functional position holder is fixed in the housing without welding so that it is possible to remove a welding process from an assembling process of the connector.

Communication Jack Having a Dielectric Film Between Plug Interface Contacts
Embodiments of the present invention relate to designs for network jacks which can be used for cable connectivity. In an embodiment, the present invention is an RJ45 jack that utilizes a thin dielectric film between two layers of PICs that provide crosstalk compensation by way of their geometry. Compensation is achieved by way of capacitor plates which sandwich a thin dielectric film. This allows for the layers of PICs to be in close proximity and achieve higher coupling where desired, allowing a greater amount of compensation to occur close to the plug/jack contact point. This can have the effect of moving compensation closer to the plug/jack contact point, which in turn may reduce the amount of compensation needed further along the data path.
