The present disclosure relates to a gain optical fiber heat-dissipating device for high power ultra-fast laser, including a gain optical fiber and a heat-dissipating structure. The heat-dissipating structure includes a metal tube, a flexible heat-conducting layer and a water-cooling structure. The gain optical fiber is passed through the metal tube, and the flexible heat-conducting layer is provided between the metal tube and the gain optical fiber. The water-cooling structure is provided on the metal tube to reduce temperature of the gain optical fiber. The gain optical fiber heat-dissipating device according to the present disclosure can dissipate the heat through a water-cooling mode, and realize rapid heat dissipation, thus improving heat-dissipating efficiency.

The method includes ramping up a pumping power input into a laser amplifier chain of the MOPA system until the pumping power input reaches an operational pumping power input level; adjusting a seed laser power output of a seed laser of the MOPA system until the seed laser power output is at a first level below an operational seed laser power output level; and performing a first optical alignment process to the MOPA system while the pumping power input is at the operational pumping power input level, the seed laser power output is at the first level, and the MOPA system reaches a steady operational thermal state.

A broadband light source device for creating broadband light pulses includes a hollow-core fiber and a pump laser source device. The hollow-core fiber is configured to create the broadband light pulses by an optical non-linear broadening of pump laser pulses. The hollow-core fiber includes a filling gas, an axial hollow light guiding fiber core configured to support core modes of a guided light field, and an inner fiber structure surrounding the fiber core and configured to support transverse wall modes of the guided light field. The PWG pumphead is configured to receive a low-power optical beam from the master oscillator and generate a high-power optical beam. The PWG pumphead includes a laser gain medium, a cartridge, and a pumphead housing. The cartridge is configured to receive and retain the laser gain medium, and the cartridge includes one or more cooling channels configured to transport coolant in order to cool the laser gain medium. The pumphead housing is configured to receive and retain the cartridge, where the cartridge is removable from the housing.
