Shielded electric wire including a conductor having outer diameter set based on thermal expansion and an insulator having thickness based on thermal expansion and wire harness
A shielded electric wire includes one metal pipe and one electric wire having a conductor and an insulator. An outer diameter of the conductor at 25° C. is set as a, a coefficient of linear expansion of the conductor is set as α.sub.a, and a temperature difference between a maximum temperature and 25° C. is set as Δt, an outer diameter a′ of the conductor after thermal expansion is a′=a+α.sub.a×a×Δt, and when a wall thickness of the insulator at 25° C. is set as b and a coefficient of linear expansion of the insulator is set as α.sub.b, an insulator wall thickness b′ after thermal expansion is b′=b+α.sub.b×b×Δt, and an inner diameter c of the one metal pipe is set to satisfy c≥a′+2b′.
Cable Protection
Protection for a cable, piping or tubing comprises a bend stiffener. This includes at least one element comprising a tubular wall having a substantially smooth inner surface, which defines circumferential recesses along at least part of its length. Each recess has an open end at the circumference of the wall, a base, and sloping sides that are closer to each other at the base than at the open end. Each recess has a depth of no more than 50% of the thickness of the tubular wall. The bend stiffener may include a number of such elements connected together. The cable protection may also include a clamp attached to the bend stiffener.
Cable Protection System
A power cable or umbilical with a cable protection system for stabilising a submarine power cable or umbilical in the free span between an offshore installation and the seabed. An offshore transfer system has an offshore structure, a power cable or umbilical and a receiving structure, the power cable or umbilical being protected in a non-supported section by such a cable protection system.
Reticulated tube, optical fiber protective unit, method for protecting optical fiber, and method for manufacturing reticulated tube
A reticulated tube includes: a plurality of openings that are reticulately formed; peripheral parts that form the openings; and a branch part that is formed in a boundary of three or more openings. The branch part includes three or more peripheral parts extending from the branch part. The reticulated tube is configured to accommodate a plurality of optical fibers inserted through the reticulated tube. The peripheral parts are restricted by the branch part and are bendable.
Support system for isolated phase bus enclosure
System and method for supporting an electrical, conductor-carrying set of end to end pipes or enclosures to form an Iso Phase bus for electrical power transmission. The multiple tubular components are axially aligned in the field by a system comprising a saddle support with support legs, brackets for the support legs wherein the brackets secure to the upper flange of an I-beam on a steel support held in the ground. The brackets are adjustably secured to the legs of the saddle support and to the flange of the I-beam. In addition, an over the top enclosure, thin metal strap is provided which is also secured to the bracket and to the flange of the I-beam. Adjustments of the orientation of one enclosure to the adjacent connecting enclosure is able to be done in three axis.
DRAIN COUPLING FOR ELECTRICAL CONDUITS
A drain coupling adapted to connect to two electrical conduits to facilitate a drainage of condensate formed inside the electrical conduits is provided. The drain coupling comprises a tubular portion defining an elongated channel and having a first end defining a first opening adapted to connect to a first electrical conduit, and a second end arranged opposite to the first end and defining a second opening adapted to connect to a second electrical conduit. A drain tube is arranged substantially centrally to the tubular portion and extending substantially perpendicularly to the tubular portion. The drain tube includes an inlet opening at an interface of the tubular portion and an outlet opening at a second free end of the drain tube, thereby facilitating a fluid connection of a drain passage of the drain tube with the elongated channel. A guard is arranged inside the tubular portion and partially covering the inlet opening of the drain tube. The guard may be positioned at an interface of the drain tube with the tubular portion and covering the inlet opening.
RETICULATED TUBE, OPTICAL FIBER PROTECTIVE UNIT, METHOD FOR PROTECTING OPTICAL FIBER, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING RETICULATED TUBE
An optical fiber protective unit includes: a reticulated tube; and a tubular member that is inserted through the reticulated tube and that is configured to accommodate a plurality of optical fibers. The reticulated tube is disposed on an outer periphery of the tubular member in a state folded in a longitudinal direction. Both end parts of the reticulated tube are located on the outer periphery of the tubular member.
WIRE HARNESS
A wire harness for routing in a vehicle in which a pipe through which a liquid flows is attached under a floor, the wire harness including: a first wire to be routed alongside the pipe; and a second wire to be routed in between the first wire and the pipe, wherein the second wire has: a conductor formed by a plurality of conductive wire strands twisted together; a metal tube housing the conductor; a first section extending along the first wire; a second section extending along the pipe at a position spaced further from the first wire than is the first section in a direction in which the pipe and the first wire are arranged alongside each other; and a third section extending between the first section and the second section, and the tube extends to include the third section.
Modular conduit systems with alignment members
Modular conduit alignment and resultant conduit systems are disclosed herein. An example system includes a plurality of modular sections, one of which connects to an terminal enclosure, each of the plurality of conduit assemblies having at least one coupler assembly having a first plurality of conduit interfaces extending from a first side of the at least one coupler assembly and a second plurality of conduit interfaces a second side of the at least one coupler assembly. The first plurality of conduit interfaces and the second plurality of conduit interfaces are aligned and form pathways that allow wiring to extend through the plurality of modular sections when the plurality of modular sections are arranged in series.
Abrasion resistant and flexible cable jacket systems
