A PUBLIC SERVICE CABINET WITH MODULAR EXPANSION FACILITY FOR A STREET MAST
A public service cabinet includes a foundation support, a connection frame, and housing parts that delimit internal spaces for receiving electrical and/or communication/control equipment. The foundation support includes a first street mast module of which an upper end is configured to be connectable to a lower end of a second street mast module of a modular street mast. The connection frame is releasably connected to the first street mast module, and the housing parts extend to a height that lies above a height to which the first street mast module extends such that at least an upper portion of the first street mast module is surrounded by the housing parts. A removable first-type cover is provided that is configured to shield of an upper side of the cabinet including the upper end of the first street mast module.
ENCLOSURE FOR CABLE DISTRIBUTION ASSEMBLY
An enclosure for breaking out a trunk cable includes: a base having a generally flat surface adapted for mounting to a mounting surface; a shell having a front and two side walls extending from opposite sides of the front and two opposed end walls, the side walls of the shell mounted to the base to form a cavity; a plurality of connectors mounted to each of the side walls; and a trunk cable routed into the cavity through one of the end walls, the trunk cable comprising a plurality of power conductors and/or a plurality of optical fibers. The power conductors and the optical fibers are connected with respective ones of the plurality of connectors.
Methods for releasably connecting an overhead electrical wire
A strain release connector for an overhead electrical wire includes a first connector part securable to the overhead electrical wire with a fixed clamping force, and a second connector part cooperable with the first connector part and securable to a service cable with an adjustable clamping force, less than the fixed clamping force. The second connector part has at least one strain adjustment screw for modifying the adjustable clamping force. The adjustable clamping force is set by the at least one strain adjustment screw such that the second connector part is configured to release the service cable upon an application of a predetermined tension force.
RETROFIT ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING SYSTEM WITH OPTIONAL ADVERTISING AND NETWORKING FUNCTIONALITY AND RETROFITTING METHODS FOR THE SAME
Systems and methods for retrofitting existing light and other poles to provide additional functionality in the form of one or more electric vehicle charging stations. Exemplary systems include EV charging station bases that are interposable between an existing pole and its associated buried anchor base, and include one or more EV charging stations that may be powered through the existing electrical wiring of the pole to be retrofit. Exemplary systems may offer additional functionality in the form of optional advertising, Internet connectivity, and other features.
SERVICE POLE ASSEMBLIES AND FITTINGS FOR FLOOR MOUNTED SERVICE POLE INTEGRATION
A service pole fitting is provided. The fitting includes a top and a base. The top has a cover with an opening. The opening is configured to removably secure a service pole in the top. The base is secured to the cover to define an inner space. The base is configured to be removably secured to a floor mounted source.
WEATHERPROOF POP-UP ELECTRICAL DEVICE ENCLOSURES
An electrical device enclosure is provided that includes an electrical device; a telescoping support member having the electrical device supported thereon; an electrical device region, the telescoping support member being configured to move the electrical device into a stored position in a first space defined in the electrical device region and to move the electrical device into a deployed position outside of the first space; and a hood pivotally connected to the electrical device for movement between a hooded position and an unhooded position. The hood and electrical device region have cooperating surfaces, the cooperating surfaces being configured and positioned so that movement of the electrical device to the stored position moves the hood into sealed contact with the electrical device to define a weather-tight space around the electrical device.
POWER PEDESTALS WITH PER SIDE MAIN BREAKER DISCONNECTS
Power pedestals with individual per side ground fault mains allow for service of breakers and receptacles without interrupting power to adjacent in-use power circuits and or boaters. In turn, ground fault mains eliminate the need for individual ground fault breakers tied to each receptacle. The power pedestals also allow for use of reverse Y adapters in the vessel to pedestal connection and allow for serviceability of single side or whole pedestal without disconnecting power to a string of pedestals on a loop feed circuits and can reduce overall cost of maintenance by eliminating costly individual ground fault breakers per-shore power connection.
Pole base cabinet
This disclosure relates to pole bases, specifically to light pole base cabinets that can house items. The pole base cabinets can be positioned between a light pole and a footing. The pole base cabinets provide a base to a light pole while adding additional functionality. The cabinets can include a main opening allowing access to a cavity in which items can be stored. Access to the cavity can be restricted with a door that uncovers and covers the main opening. The pole base cabinets can include support panels, internal stiffening panels, external stiffening panels, support tabs, flanges, tabs, a peripheral wall, and other features to provide structural support and enclose the contents in the pole base cabinet.
Load center
Implementations include a compartmentalized plug-in load center having connector receptacles for load circuit wiring connection to the load center and a plug-in back plate to connect the plug-in load center to a vertical power busway within a utility wall panel of a building, and a method for installing the load center in a building with a vertical power busway.
Cable retrieving system for electric vehicle charging station
A cable retrieving system is disclosed for a charging station adapted for recharging an electric vehicle, the charging station comprising an electric cable and a plug for enabling an electrical connection with the electric vehicle, the system comprising a mechanical wire having a first end secured to the electric cable and a second end; an enclosure comprising an opening suitable for the mechanical wire and a pulling mechanism located in the enclosure, the pulling mechanism comprising a weight member located in the enclosure and mounted on a portion of the mechanical wire to thereby create a pulling force on the mechanical wire to thereby pull the electric cable towards the charging station.
