In one embodiment, an example method may include determining, by a controller, that a first electrical output of a first solar panel configured to charge a plurality of rechargeable batteries is greater than a second electrical output of a second solar panel configured to charge the plurality of rechargeable batteries, and causing the second solar panel to be disconnected from the plurality of rechargeable batteries. Example methods may include determining that a voltage potential of the plurality of rechargeable batteries is greater than a total output voltage, where the total output voltage is a sum of the first electrical output and the second electrical output, and causing a connection between the plurality of rechargeable batteries to be changed from a series connection to a parallel connection based at least in part on the first electrical output.

The heat dissipation apparatus includes at least two stacked fan layers, and each fan layer includes at least one fan. A heat dissipation channel in a radiator has a first inlet, and the first inlet communicates with each air exhaust vent in at least one fan layer by using an air duct component. Compared with a solution in which fans are arranged along a width direction of the radiator, the at least two fan layers are stacked, which may not be limited by a width of the radiator. More fans can be arranged in a hierarchical stacking manner, and more fans can increase an overall amount of exhausted air, thereby improving the heat dissipation capability of the heat dissipation apparatus.

Some examples of the solar panels described herein mitigate wind resistance problems in comparison to conventional solar panels by introducing porosity to the panel that permits the free flow of air, rain, and sunlight through the panel. The flow of air dramatically reduces the wind resistance allowing the panel to be installed substantially above ground level, freeing the land under the panels to be used for other purposes. Additional benefits are that rain and sunlight can reach the ground under the panels to sustain plant and animal life without the permanent environmental damage associated with the implementation of traditional solar panels in solar energy farms. In addition, the solar panels described herein can be made of materials that have higher heat conductivity and are recyclable or reusable.
