Descrambler for memory systems and method thereof
A descrambler receives data from a memory device. The descrambler calculates a sub-syndrome weight for multiple bits in each of the plurality of descrambled sequences using a set parity check matrix to generate multiple sub-syndrome weights, one for each of the plurality of descrambled sequences. The descrambler selects a sub-syndrome weight among the multiple sub-syndrome weights. The descrambler determines, as a correct scrambler sequence for descrambling the data, a scrambler sequence corresponding to the selected sub-syndrome weight, among the plurality of scrambler sequences.
PARALLEL BIT INTERLEAVER
A bit interleaving method involves applying a bit permutation process to a QC-LDPC codeword made up of N cyclic blocks each including Q bits, and dividing the codeword after the permutation process into a plurality of constellation words each including M bits, the codeword being divided into F×N/M folding sections, each of the constellation words being associated with one of the F×N/M folding sections, and the bit permutation process being applied such that each of the constellation words includes F bits from each of M/F different cyclic blocks in a given folding section associated with a given constellation word

Iterative decoding technique system and method for digital selective calling
System and methods are disclosed that comprise receiving at least one signal via a receiver. The at least one signal is extracted for data via a processor coupled to the receiver, wherein the data includes at least one message and a set of parameters related to the message. A signal output is generated using the at least one message and the set of parameters such that the signal output includes a first portion and a second portion. At least one error is identified in the signal output and corrected using the first portion and the second portion. An output is generated that is used to perform at least one task related to the at least one signal.
Control Information for a Wirelessly-Transmitted Data Stream
Control information for configuring an audiovisual device to present multimedia content according to a first service type may be generated. A method may include generating first control information for configuring an audiovisual device to decode a multimedia stream, generating first data that indicates a structure of the first control information, and transmitting the first data and the first control information. The first control information may be generated according to a first protocol version. Second data and second control information may be similarly generated and transmitted according to a second protocol version. Disclosed techniques may facilitate receiving devices to determine whether they support received wireless transmissions and decode the transmissions based on the control information.
Transmitter and method for transmitting data block in wireless communication system
Provided are a transmitter and a method for transmitting a data block in a wireless communication system. The method comprises the following steps: deciding the number of bits (s) and encoders (N.sub.ES) to allocate to one axis of a signal constellation; encoding an information bit based on the s and the N.sub.ES and generating a coded block; parsing the coded block based on the s and the N.sub.ES and generating a plurality of frequency sub-blocks; and transmitting the plurality of frequency sub-blocks to a receiver.
COMMUNICATION DEVICE FOR PERFORMING DETECTION OPERATION AND DEMODULATION OPERATION ON CODEWORD AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF
A method includes calculating a number of iterative detection and decoding (IDD) iterations and a number of decoding iterations for each of a plurality of channel coding units in a target codeword; calculating a demodulation time and a decoding time for the target codeword based on the number of IDD iterations and the number of decoding iterations for the target codeword; adding the target codeword to a codeword set, based on a demodulation time and a decoding time for codewords in the codeword set and the target codeword; and performing an IDD operation based on a number of IDD iterations and a number of decoding iterations.
Alignment detection by full and partial FEC decoding
A forward error correction (FEC) decoder is configured to find an alignment of a code block in a data stream by attempting to fully or partially decode one or more data windows of a predetermined size in the data stream. The predetermined size is a size of each codeword. The FEC decoder selects a first data window of the predetermined size, attempts to decode the first data window based on a particular error control coding method, and determines whether a valid codeword can be identified by attempting to decode the first data window. In response to determining that a valid codeword can be identified, the FEC decoder determines that an alignment of the codeword with the first data window is found. Otherwise, the FEC decoder selects a second data window of the predetermined size and attempts to decode the second data window.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR DECODING RECEIVED UPLINK TRANSMISSIONS USING LOG-LIKELIHOOD RATIO (LLR) OPTIMIZATION
Methods and apparatus for decoding received uplink transmissions using log-likelihood ratio optimization. In an embodiment, a method includes soft-demapping resource elements based on soft-demapping parameters as part of a process to generate log-likelihood ratios (LLR) values, decoding the LLRs to generate decoded data, and identifying a target performance value. The method also includes determining a performance metric from the decoded data, and performing a machine learning algorithm that dynamically adjusts the soft-demapping parameters to move the performance metric toward the target performance value.
FORWARD ERROR CONTROL CODING
A system and method for providing error control coding for backhaul applications are disclosed. Data is first encoded using Reed-Solomon (RS) coding. The output RS blocks are then turbo coded. The size of the output RS blocks is selected to match the input of the turbo encoder. The bits from the RS blocks may be interleaved to create the input turbo blocks. Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) parity bits may be added to the data prior to RS coding.
