Method and apparatus for streaming video
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method that obtains consumption information for each of a group of communication devices associated with a user. A data plan is identified that is applicable to a communication device of the group of communication devices, and a group of media content is identified for the user based on the consumption information. The media content is provided to the communication device at a bit rate that varies according to the data plan. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Automated data-matching based on fingerprints
Automated data-matching includes obtaining first and second stored fingerprints generated from first and second data. The stored fingerprints are divided into frames, and grouped into first blocks and second blocks including an equal number of frames. Each frame included in a current first block is compared to each frame included in a current second block to determine a number of matching frames, and a hamming distance between the current first block and the current second block is determined, based at least in part on the number of matching frames. A determination is made, based at least in part on the hamming distance, whether the current first block and the current second block match.

Media channel identification and action with multi-match detection and disambiguation based on matching with differential reference-fingerprint feature
A computing system compares various reference fingerprints each representing a reference media stream broadcast on a different respective known channel, and the computing system determines that a plurality of the reference fingerprints match each other, thus defining a multi-match group of the matching reference fingerprints. In response, the computing system identifies a fingerprint feature that could define a distinction between the reference fingerprints, and the computing system resolves the multi-match based on the identified feature, thereby determining the channel carrying the media stream being rendered by the media presentation device. And the computing system could then take channel-specific action based on the determined channel.
Synchronizing Streaming Media Content Across Devices
Methods, apparatus, and systems are disclosed for synchronizing streaming media content. An example apparatus includes a storage device, and a processor to execute instructions to identify a first source streaming broadcast media to a first computing device based on an audio fingerprint of audio associated with the broadcast media, identify sources broadcasting the broadcast media streaming to the first computing device, the sources available to a second computing device including the processor, select a second source of the identified sources for streaming the broadcast media to the second computing device, the second source different than the first source, detect termination of the streaming of the broadcast media on the first computing device, the termination corresponding to a termination time of the broadcast media, and automatically start, by using the selected second source, streaming of the broadcast media to the second computing device at the termination time.

DYNAMIC ANTENNA CONFIGURATION
Techniques are described for expanding and/or improving the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) 3.0 television protocol in robustly delivering the next generation broadcast television services. A receiver uses relative location and direction of motion of the receiver with respect to each broadcaster to determine which tuner/demodulator(s) to use to present a service and which to use to scan for services.
Methods and systems for content navigation among programs presenting advertising content
Systems and methods for aiding user content navigation are described. An exemplary system may include an electronic device configured to receive audiovisual content and/or user inputs. The electronic device may additionally include one or more outputs coupled with a display device. The electronic device may further include one or more processors as well as memory, which when executed by the one or more processors, cause them to perform one or more navigation functions to receive a channel change command to adjust from a first channel to a second channel. The one or more processors may further be caused to determine that the second channel is presenting advertising content instead of program content, and determine that a third channel is presenting program content. The one or more processors may further be caused to adjust the output to the third channel.
