20220417052 · 2022-12-29 ·

Disclosed is a network configuration method for a home appliance, which is applied in a network configuration terminal. The network configuration method for the home appliance includes: sending, by the network configuration terminal, a generation instruction of generating an initial code to a target home appliance; and acquiring, based on the generation instruction, the initial code generated by the target home appliance, for a control terminal to communicate with a WIFI module of the target home appliance based on the initial code. A network configuration terminal and a computer-readable storage medium are also disclosed.

HOME APPLIANCE, METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING MOBILE DEVICE COMMUNICATING WITH HOME APPLIANCE

A method of controlling a home appliance, the method including, by a home appliance: outputting, via Bluetooth low energy (BLE) advertising, a BLE advertising packet including service set identifier (SSID)-related information related to an SSID of a software enabled access point (Soft AP) of the home appliance in a new product state in which the home appliance has not been registered in a server; outputting a Wi-Fi beacon of the Soft AP; in response to a connection request for the Soft AP received from a mobile device after outputting the Wi-Fi beacon, establishing a Wi-Fi communication connection between the mobile device and the Soft AP; receiving, from the mobile device via the Wi-Fi communication connection, a control signal related to an initial setting operation of registering the home appliance in the server; and performing the initial setting operation, based on the received control signal.

Multi-network playback devices

A playback device includes programming for connecting to a first wireless local area network (WLAN) and storing a first set of network configuration parameters including an identifier of the first WLAN and a first security parameter for the first WLAN. The functions also include disconnecting from the first WLAN, receiving a second set of network configuration parameters including an identifier of a second WLAN and a second security parameter for the second WLAN, and storing the second set of network configuration parameters. The functions also include reconnecting to the first WLAN using the stored first set of network configuration parameters and, after reconnecting to the first WLAN, transmitting, absent user request, the second set of network configuration parameters to at least one other playback device that is connected to the first WLAN for storage on the at least one other playback device that is connected to the first WLAN.

Conversation merging for electronic devices

Aspects of subject technology provide systems and methods for generation and distribution of a stable identifier associated with multiple aliases of a user account. The stable identifier may be provided to various electronic devices by a server, responsive to requests associated with communications to those devices from one of the associated aliases. In this way, messaging applications can utilize the stable identifier to merge conversations from a single user having multiple aliases, and secure access to a secure device can be provided to an authorized user, even if the authorized user attempts access from an unauthorized account alias.

Appliance network with messaging

An appliance, communication system, and method thereof for a communicating on a network including an appliance interactive display coupled to an appliance communication module. The appliance communication module is configured to receive a message having an embedded interactive element configured to operate a functionality of the appliance embedded into the message. A return message is sent that relates to a post-cycle of operation of the embedded interactive element.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A SMART HOME SYSTEM
20220376942 · 2022-11-24 ·

Disclosed is a smart home system for controlling peripheral devices. The smart home system allows a single computing device to control a plurality of peripheral devices. The system can include a crystal oscillator. The computing device connects to a universal device. The universal device connects to one or more system modules. The universal device and system modules communicate using a protocol stored, at least in part, on both the universal device and system modules. The use of the protocol and the system module to peripheral device interface allows for a universality of peripheral devices. That is, the smart home system allows for the extension of smart control to non-traditional smart devices.

Multi-factor authentication for mobile security protocol

In one example, a home network associated with a user equipment obtains an authentication request to authenticate the user equipment to a serving network. The home network generates an authentication vector of a mobile security protocol. The authentication vector includes an indication that the user equipment is to be authenticated using a multi-factor authentication process. The home network provides the authentication vector to the serving network to prompt a response from the user equipment that is in accordance with the multi-factor authentication process. The home network authenticates the user equipment to the serving network based on the response.

System and method for aggregating and analyzing the status of a system

A state of a system having a plurality of appliances is controlled by using a device discovery process to establish a listing of each of the plurality of appliances in the system. The listing of each of the plurality of appliances is then used, with reference to a command and/or protocol database, to configure a software agent to exchange communications, via a one or more communication channels, with each of the plurality of appliances. An action triggering state of at least one of the plurality of appliances is associated with an action. The action is performed when it is determined that a current state of the at least one of the plurality of appliances corresponds to the action triggering state.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING A SMART DEVICE

A method for controlling a smart device is provided. The method comprises identifying a user-furniture interaction activity of a user interacting with a home furnishing product by analyzing sensor data, captured by an imaging sensor, depicting a scene of the user interacting with the home furnishing product. The method further comprises comparing the user-furniture interaction activity against a set of predetermined user-furniture interaction activities, thereby determining a specific predetermined user-furniture interaction activity among the set of predetermined user-furniture interaction activities, wherein each of the predetermined user-furniture interaction activities is associated with a rule of controlling a smart device. The method further comprises controlling the smart device in accordance with the rule.

System and method for providing network support services and premises gateway support infrastructure

A service management system communicates via wide area network with gateway devices located at respective user premises. The service management system remotely manages delivery of application services, which can be voice controlled, by a gateway, e.g. by selectively activating/deactivating service logic modules in the gateway. The service management system also may selectively provide secure communications and exchange of information among gateway devices and among associated endpoint devices. An exemplary service management system includes a router connected to the network and one or more computer platforms, for implementing management functions. Examples of the functions include a connection manager for controlling system communications with the gateway devices, an authentication manager for authenticating each gateway device and controlling the connection manager and a subscription manager for managing applications services and/or features offered by the gateway devices. A service manager, controlled by the subscription manager, distributes service specific configuration data to authenticated gateway devices.
