Providing a reception device and a communication system capable of preventing signal quality degradation and improving signal transmission efficiency in a case where a data signal is transmitted via a transmission line that connects a plurality of transmission devices and a reception device. Provided is a reception device including a compensation circuit and an adjustment circuit. The compensation circuit is connected to a transmission line connected to each of the plurality of transmission devices and compensates a signal transmitted from each of the transmission devices in time division. The adjustment circuit adjusts operation of the compensation circuit, in which the adjustment circuit adjusts the operation of the compensation circuit by using a first adjustment value that adjusts the operation of the compensation circuit and is read from a recording medium storing the first adjustment value.
SURGICAL INSTRUMENT WITH SINGLE WIRE DIGITAL COMMUNICATION OVER DIFFERENTIAL BUS
A single wire digital communication system for use with an ultrasonic surgical instrument and an ultrasonic surgical instrument including a single wire digital communication system. The single wire digital communication system includes first transmitter logic buffer and first receiver logic buffer operably coupled to a first single wire device via a first single wire communication bus. The single wire digital communication system also includes a first differential transceiver operational amplifier operably coupled to the first transmitter logic buffer via a first transmitter signal line and operably coupled to the first receiver logic buffer via a first receiver signal line. A second differential transceiver operational amplifier is operably coupled to the first differential transceiver operational amplifier via at least one differential bus. A second single wire device is operably coupled to the differential bus and configured to communicate with the first single wire device.

A single wire digital communication system for use with an ultrasonic surgical instrument and an ultrasonic surgical instrument including a single wire digital communication system. The single wire digital communication system includes first transmitter logic buffer and first receiver logic buffer operably coupled to a first single wire device via a first single wire communication bus. The single wire digital communication system also includes a first differential transceiver operational amplifier operably coupled to the first transmitter logic buffer via a first transmitter signal line and operably coupled to the first receiver logic buffer via a first receiver signal line. A second differential transceiver operational amplifier is operably coupled to the first differential transceiver operational amplifier via at least one differential bus. A second single wire device is operably coupled to the differential bus and configured to communicate with the first single wire device.
System-on-chips and methods of controlling reset of system-on-chips
A system-on-chip (SoC) includes a processor, a system interconnect (a first bus) connected to the processor, a physical layer protocol (PHY) intellectual property (IP) block, a second bus connected to the processor, and a reset controller connected to the first bus and the second bus. The processor includes a plurality of central processing unit (CPU) cores. The PHY IP block, connected to the first bus, includes a plurality of PHY IPs including physical layers and is connected to external devices. The reset controller detects an abnormal state of the processor based on a signal from the processor, or an absence of a signal from the processor. The reset controller applies a reset signal to the PHY IP block in response to the detected abnormal state. The PHY IP block outputs a corresponding preset data to respective one of the external devices in response to the reset signal during a reset period.

RESERVATION MECHANIC FOR NODES WITH PHASE CONSTRAINTS
A computer chip, a method, and computer program product for providing phase reservations between processing nodes. A computer chip includes a plurality of processing nodes interconnected in an on-chip data transfer network configured in a circular topology. The processing nodes include reservation mechanisms managing reservations made by processing nodes with phase constraints. The reservation policy allows the processing nodes to make a reservation, for a given phase, in any phase window, only once per reservation window. A reservation window can be a bounded amount of time for when a node is guaranteed an opportunity to transmit at least one message. The reservation policy also prevents the processing nodes from making more than one reservation in a phase window. Once a reservation is granted, the corresponding message may progress on the bus unimpeded. Requestors attempting to transmit messages are blocked until the message is transmitted.
RECEPTION DEVICE AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Provided is a reception device and a communication system. The reception device includes a compensation circuit connected to a transmission line that is connected to each of a plurality of transmission devices. The compensation circuit compensates a plurality of data signals received from the plurality of transmission devices, respectively, in time division. The reception device further includes an adjustment circuit that adjusts operation of the compensation circuit based on a plurality of training signals received from the plurality of transmission devices.
SECURITY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROTECTING A VEHICLE ELECTRONIC SYSTEM
Security system for protecting a vehicle electronic system by selectively intervening in the communications path in order to prevent the arrival of malicious messages at ECUs, in particular at the safety critical ECUs. The security system includes a filter which prevents illegal messages sent by any system or device communicating over a vehicle communications bus from reaching their destination. The filter may, at its discretion according to preconfigured rules, send messages as is, block messages, change the content of the messages, request authentication or limit the rate such messages can be delivered, by buffering the messages and sending them only in preconfigured intervals.

A communication device includes a parameter setter and a communication controller for cyclic communication to transmit data including a first data piece and a second data piece different from the first data piece and having lower priority for real-time transmission than the first data piece to slave stations. The parameter setter presets a number of divisions n to divide the second data piece before the cyclic communication is started. The communication controller transmits the first data piece to a first slave station in one cycle, divides the second data piece by the number of divisions n, and transmits the divided second data piece to a second slave station in n cycles, where n is the number of divisions. The communication controller transmits, before transmitting the second data piece, data indicating the number of divisions n set by the parameter setter to the second slave station.
