The present disclosure provides a controller area network (CAN) bus network access unit, a related network, a method, and an apparatus. The CAN bus network access unit includes: a first CAN bus; a second CAN bus; a first CAN bus transceiver and a second CAN bus transceiver, respectively communicatively coupled to the first CAN bus and the second CAN bus and respectively configured to communicate with another first CAN bus and another second CAN bus in another CAN bus network access unit; a first port, communicatively coupled to the first CAN bus; and a plurality of variable connection ports, where each variable connection port is communicatively coupled to one of the first CAN bus and the second CAN bus, or communicatively coupled to neither the first CAN bus nor the second CAN bus. In embodiments of the present disclosure, an electric control part used in a conveying line is standardized. A time-delay is reduced and costs of network wiring and device management are reduced.
Master slave communication system and control method for master slave communication system
A master slave communication system capable of reducing a manufacturing cost is provided. The mater slave communication system includes a master node and a plurality of slave nodes having the same initial address. A communication between the master node and one slave node among the plurality of slave nodes is established by using the initial address set as an address of the one slave node. The address of the one slave node is changed into another address which has been transmitted from the master node to the one slave node through the established communication and is different from the initial address.
ETHERNET FAIL-SAFE RELAY
Passive Ethernet by-pass switches, methods of using the same, and systems including the passive Ethernet by-pass switches include a first connection configured to be coupled to a first Ethernet port, a second connection configured to be coupled to a second Ethernet port, and switching circuitry including at least one internal switch operable to allow network communication between the first connection, the second connection, and at least one Ethernet controller, the at least one internal switch including a depletion mode transistor operable to bridge the first connection to the second connection to establish communication between the first connection and the second connection.
Controller area network data link layer protocol processing system, related integrated circuit, device and method
A device has a plurality of CAN XL communication systems, a bus, and a switching circuit. The bus has a transmission node and reception node, and receives from each CAN XL communication system a respective second transmission signal and drives the logic level at the transmission node as a function of the logic levels of the second transmission signals, and provides to each CAN XL communication system a respective second reception signal having a logic level determined as a function of the logic level at the reception node. The switching circuit supports a plurality of modes. In a first mode, the switching circuit is configured to provide the NRZ encoded transmission signals of the CAN XL communication systems as the second transmission signals to the bus system, and provide the respective second reception signal received from the bus to the CAN XL protocol controllers of the CAN XL communication system.
Flexible, interruptible radial bus and bus-mounted bead device
A multi-conductor bus with radially arranged conductor wires on which addressable bead devices that may incorporate light-emitting diodes (LEDs) or other surface mount devices (SMDs) can be easily mounted. The radial bus is designed to provide an improved range of flexibility and motion while allowing for easy addition of bead devices along its length that utilize self-addressing bus protocols such as cascading device protocols. The design of the flexible, interruptible radial bus facilitates the use of pass-through and interrupted paths along the bus that simplifies the installation of addressable devices along the bus such as the bus-mounted bead devices disclosed herein.
Remote Activation of the Wireless Service Interface of a Control Device Via a Bus System
Various embodiments of the teachings herein include a control device for controlling one or more field devices connected to the control device by data technology in the form of a communication network. The control device includes a wireless service interface. The communication network connects the control device to one or more tools. The wireless service interface can be activated by first tool via the communication network.
Status signal output
A data bus subscriber connected to a local bus, particularly a ring bus. The data bus subscriber has a status signal input for receiving a first status signal value from a downstream data bus subscriber or a terminator, a status signal output for providing a second status signal value to an upstream data bus subscriber or to a local bus master, wherein the data bus subscriber is adapted to provide the second status signal value based on a logical link of a communication readiness of the data bus subscriber and the first status signal value. The invention further relates to a corresponding method and a local bus.
SHARED DATA MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A shared data management system configured to receive frames comprising data from one or more producer devices and to transmit reconstructed frames to one or more consumer devices, a producer device and a consumer device being connected to the shared data management system by way of a communication network using a communication protocol. The shared data management system comprises a memory system having one or more memories. The shared data management system advantageously comprises a central controller configured to store at least some of the data encapsulated in a frame received from a producer device in a target memory area of the memory system, the central controller being configured to compute, for each datum to be stored, the address of the target memory based on an index associated with the datum in the received frame.
Remote Activation of the Wireless Service Interface of a Control Device Via a Radio Interface
Various embodiments of the teachings herein include a control device comprising: a wireless service interface; and a controller. The control device receives a radio signal generated by a device via a suitable radio connection using a further wireless interface and activates the wireless service interface once receiving the radio signal.
Gateway device, vehicle network system, and transfer method
A gateway connected to a bus, a bus, and the like used by a plurality of electronic control units for communication includes a frame communication unit that receives a frame, a transfer control unit that removes verification information used to verify a frame from the content of the frame received by the frame communication unit and transfers the frame to a destination bus or that adds verification information to the content of the frame and transfers the frame to the destination bus, and the like.
