SMART GATEWAY DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING COMMUNICATION BETWEEN HVAC SYSTEM NETWORKS
A smart gateway device for a first network associated with a building management system (BMS) is configured to discover a physical device and generate a new virtual device responsive to a determination that a device identifier of the physical device does not match any device identifiers in a virtual device registry. The virtual device registry provides mapping between the new virtual device and the physical device. One or more data points of the new virtual device correspond to one or more data points of the physical device. The smart gateway device is configured to receive data values for the one or more data points of the physical device and update the one or more data points of the new virtual device with the data values for the one or more data points of the physical device. The virtual device is configured to represent the physical device on the first network.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING COOKING APPLIANCE
A system and method for controlling a cooking appliance are provided. The method may include receiving, by a server, a usage time of each of a plurality of burners from a cooking appliance; receiving, by the server, a request to transfer a recipe from a terminal; recommending to the terminal, by the server, a burner having a shortest usage time; transmitting, by the terminal, a control command for turning on the recommended burner to the server; transmitting, by the server, the control command to the cooking appliance; and turning on, by the cooking appliance, the recommended burner according to the control command.
Multi-source smart-home device control
Various arrangements for integrating control of multiple cloud-based smart-home devices are presented. Registration information may be received for a first and second smart-home device that are controlled using different cloud-based server systems. A determination may be made that that the first smart-home device and the second smart-home device share a common function. The first smart-home device and the second smart-home device may be assigned to a common operating characteristic group based on the common function being shared by the first smart-home device and the second smart-home device. A control element may be provided that allows for control of smart-home devices with the common operating characteristic group. The control element may control the common function at the first smart-home device via the first cloud-based server system and at the second smart-home device via the second cloud-based server system.
WATER HEATER WITH ELECTRONIC MIXING VALVE AND AUTOMATIC TANK SET POINT
Methods of operating a water heater appliance are provided. The water heater appliance includes a tank, a cold water inlet conduit extending into the tank, a heating element within the tank, a hot water conduit extending from the tank to a mixing valve, a mixed water conduit downstream of the mixing valve, and a user interface. The method includes receiving a user input, determining a tank temperature setpoint value based on the received user input, and adjusting a tank temperature setpoint to the determined tank temperature setpoint value.
DISTRIBUTED LEDGER SYSTEM FOR MANAGING VEHICLE SENSOR DATA UTILIZED TO DEVELOP COLLISION PROFILES
Systems and methods are disclosed with respect to using a distributed ledger, such as a blockchain, for managing vehicle sensor data utilized to develop collision profiles. These collision profiles may be helpful when analyzing a collision to determine conditions that preceded the collision, to determine fault, and/or to determine an extent of damage to one or more vehicles involved in the collision. The sensor data may be collected from any of a number of sensors configured to capture position, orientation, movement, acceleration, driver behavior, etc.
Distributed ledger system for managing medical records
Systems and methods are disclosed with respect to using a distributed ledger, such as a blockchain, for managing medical records. The medical records may be accessible by medical institutions such as hospitals, and may be controlled by the patient. The patient may, for example, decide which entities can access and/or edit the medical records.
DISTRIBUTED LEDGER SYSTEM FOR MANAGING SMART DATA
Systems and methods are disclosed with respect to using a distributed ledger, such as a blockchain, for tracking changes for a user. Example methods may include implementing one or more servers, each of the one or more servers maintaining a copy of a distributed ledger; detecting a change in a policy or claim status for a user; responding to the detection of the change, including: (i) generating, via a server of the one or more servers, a transaction record for the distributed ledger including data corresponding to the change; (ii) generating a hash value representative of at least the transaction record using at least a generated nonce value; and (iii) storing the transaction record and the hash value to each copy of the distributed ledger at the one or more servers; and performing a function based upon the transaction record stored to the distributed ledger.
Distributed ledger system for managing smart vehicle data
Systems and methods are disclosed with respect to using a distributed ledger, such as a blockchain, for managing smart vehicle data. The managed data may relate to a detected vehicle event, such as: a motion or position detected by a motion or position sensor as a GPS chip, an accelerometer, a compass, a speedometer, a gyroscope, etc.; braking detected by a braking sensor; turn input detected by a steering wheel sensor; wheel position detected by a wheel sensor; engine temperature detected by a temperature gauge; oil temperature detected by a temperature gauge; a seatbelt status detected by a seatbelt and/or seat sensor; etc.
CUSTOMIZED INTERFACE BASED ON VOCAL INPUT
Various arrangements for using captured voice to generate a custom interface controller are presented. A vocal recording from a user may be captured in which a spoken command and multiple smart-home devices are indicated. One or more common functions that map to the multiple smart-home devices may be determined. A custom interface controller may be generated that controls the one or more common functions of each smart-home device of the multiple smart-home devices.
Fixture
A fixture system includes a fixture having an input device, an output device, and a fixture computing system. The fixture computing system includes a database and programming for receiving information from the input device and accessing the database. The programming has instructions that, when activated by the processor, performs the following steps: (a) activate the output device to output a first signal; (b) receive information from the input device; (c) access the database to determine a second signal, wherein the second signal is based on the information from the input device; and (d) activate the output device to output the second signal.
