Battery, battery controller, and method for the secured digital transmission of current measurement values

The invention relates to a method for the secured digital transmission of current measurement values and to a battery (1) and a battery controller (10) which are suitable for carrying out the method. The method has the steps of detecting (S1, S2) an amplitude of a battery current (I.sub.B) in a battery (1) using a first and a second sensor (2, 3), generating (S3, S4) a first and a second bit sequence, each of which describes the detected amplitude, generating a mirrored second bit sequence (21) by reversing (S5) a sequence of the bits provided by the second bit sequence (20), simultaneously transmitting (S6) the first bit sequence via a first data bus (5) and the mirrored second bit sequence (21) via a second data bus (6) to a battery controller (10), generating a second bit sequence (20) by reversing (S7) a sequence of the bits provided by the mirrored second bit sequence (21) after the simultaneous transmission (S6), and finally detecting (S8) a possible error in the first bit sequence or the second bit sequence (20) by comparing the first bit sequence (20) with the second bit sequence (21). Transmission faults are thus detected in particular in a transmission path between the sensors of the battery and the battery controller, said faults being caused by a common disturbance. Additionally, faults can also be detected which are caused by a disturbance that only affects one of the sensors or a part of the transmission path.

Local interconnect network system and method, and computer readable medium for implementing the method

A LIN communication system includes a master controller, and at least one slave controller connected to the master controller via local interconnect network (LIN) communication. The master controller allows the at least one slave controller to enter a sleep mode in a normal situation through a sleep mode message of an unconditional frame provided via the LIN communication and checks a failure state of the at least one slave controller in an abnormal situation.

A method for data communication in a serial LIN bus system that is used to transmit LIN information between a LIN master and LIN slaves includes transmitting the LIN information between the LIN master and the identical LIN slaves via respective data line that run between each of the identical LIN slaves and the LIN master.

AUDIO PROCESSING FOR VEHICLE SENSORY SYSTEMS

Audio-derived information is provided to a vehicle control system of a vehicle by attaching a microphone externally to a vehicle to generate an analog signal in response to sound waves external to the vehicle. An enclosure containing sound-attenuating material mechanically filters low frequency sounds from reaching the microphone transducer. An analog-to-digital converter converts the analog signal to a digital signal. A vehicle data bus transfers the digital signal to the vehicle control system.

Multi-current harmonized paths for low power local interconnect network (LIN) receiver

A LIN receiver includes a single, low power structure for both sleep and silent modes, with a single comparator for detecting LIN signaling during both sleep and silent modes as well as during active mode. In some embodiments, full receiving capability is implemented with a current as low as 5 microamps. In particular, dominant and recessive levels for the wakeup bloc are identical to those of standard LIN levels, fixed at about 3.5 V. Consequently, full LIN receiving capability is available during sleep mode.
