EXTENDED REALITY DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD AND APPARATUS
This application provides an extended reality data transmission method and an apparatus. The method includes: determining that a data type is extended reality data; determining, based on the data type, to obtain, based on delay information and transmission error information, extended reality quality indicator XQI information corresponding to a target rate, where the XQI information indicates transmission quality of the extended reality data; and performing communication based on the XQI information.
SERVICE CONTINUITY FOR NETWORK MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS IN IPV6 NETWORKS
Systems and methods for reducing bandwidth loss in IPv6 packet switching networks. A network appliance is configured to sample IPv6 packets and mirror sampled packets to a working memory or memory structure, such as a queue. A transport layer payload is extracted from each sampled packet and a transport layer checksum validation operation is performed. Upon detecting an error, the network appliance updates a dropped packet rate or other metric.
TRANSPARENT HANDLING OF NETWORK DEVICE FAILURES
Some embodiments provide a method of addressing failures in a network comprising a computer with at least first and second network interface cards (NICs). The method designates the first and second NICs respectively as primary and secondary NICs of the computer and respectively assigns first and second network addresses to the first and second NICs. The method iteratively sends health monitoring messages to a set of one or more destinations through the first NIC using the first network address. Based on the health monitoring messages, the method detects a potential failure of an element in the network. Based on the detected potential failure, the method redesignates the first and second NICs respectively as secondary and primary NICs and respectively reassigns the first and second network addresses to the second and first NICs. The redesignation accounts for a possibility that the detected potential failure relates to the first NIC.
Pseudo channel hopping in mesh networks without time synchronization
A method for pseudo channel hopping in a node of a wireless mesh network is provided that includes scanning each channel of a plurality of channels used for packet transmission by the node, wherein each channel is scanned for a scan dwell time associated with the channel, updating statistics for each channel based on packets received by the node during the scanning of the channel, and selecting a channel of the plurality of channels for scanning based on the statistics when the scan dwell time of a currently scanned channel ends.
Log likelihood ratio based rate adaptation through turbo-HARQ
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A method of wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) is described that may include receiving a data packet transmission over a wireless channel from a base station. The method may further include determining a set of intrinsic log likelihood ratios (LLRs) based at least in part on the data packet transmission and determining an accumulated capacity for the wireless channel based at least in part on the set of intrinsic LLRs. The method may also include determining a channel quality indicator index or a transmission rank for the wireless channel based at least in part on the accumulated capacity and transmitting a feedback message that indicates the channel quality indicator index or the transmission rank for the wireless channel to the base station.
Audio Data Transmission Method, System and Device
An audio data transmission method, an audio data transmission system, and an audio data transmission device are described. The audio data transmission method comprises: receiving first channel audio data from an audio source device based on a wireless communication protocol by a first audio data receiving device, receiving second audio channel audio data from the audio source device based on the wireless communication protocol by a second audio data receiving device, starting to receive the first channel audio data and the second channel audio data by one of the first and second audio data receiving devices when a communication quality between the audio source device and another one of the first and second audio data receiving devices fails to meet a preset requirement; and forwarding the first or second channel audio data from the one of the first and second audio data receiving devices to the another one of the first and second audio data receiving device. Thus, the present invention utilizes characteristics of independent fading at different spatial positions, improves reliability of wireless communication and enhances communication quality through a spatial diversity gain.
Method and apparatus for logging information
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for logging a radio resource control (RRC) failure of user equipment (UE) and receiving the log. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for logging an RRC failure of UE may comprise the steps of: attempting random access; if the failure of random access is sensed, logging information on the failure; and if the success of random access is sensed, transmitting information on the failure logged before the success to a connected base station. According to one embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus and a method which effectively log a channel state or a connection failure can be provided.
Interference reduction using signal quality
Techniques are described for interference reductions using, e.g., a Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) or packet error rate threshold. User Equipment that implements these techniques may reduce interference among personal area network enabled devices, for example, with the added benefit of reducing power consumption by reduced radio frequency transmissions. By reducing interference, the performance of personal area network devices may be improved.
Method for supporting service level agreement monitoring in a software defined network and corresponding software defined network
A method supports service level agreement monitoring in a software defined network. The software defined network has forwarding elements and a software defined network controller for controlling the forwarding elements. Data flows are transmitted between a first end-path forwarding element, of the forwarding elements, and a second end-path forwarding element, of the forwarding elements, via at least one intermediate forwarding element, of the forwarding elements. The software defined network controller configures the intermediate forwarding element such that a probe triggering packet is generated based on local information of the intermediate forwarding element. The software defined network controller configures at least one of the first end-path forwarding element or the second end-path forwarding element such that an end-to-end probing is triggered based on receiving the probe triggering packet. The end-to-end probing is performed in order to detect a service level agreement violation.
Secure message processing protocol
A system and method for processing electronic data messages mitigate the transmission of one or more electronic messages including a sequence of data as a plurality of packets characterized by a sequence therebetween corresponding to the sequence of the data of the electronic message, each packet including data indicative of the sequence of that packet relative to the others of the plurality of packets, to a receiving system, prior to the sender determining that the message(s) is/are desired, alone or in conjunction with subsequently canceling or otherwise invalidating the message(s). The system and method mitigate such behavior by adding a timestamp when the packets are received, detecting if at least one of the received augmented packets of the electronic data message was received by the network interface in an order different from the sequence between the plurality of packets, and taking an action with respect to the electronic data message.
