As described herein, a system, method, and computer program are provided for orchestrating re-provisioning of network subscriber dedicated network slices. A request is received from an entity for use of a network. Network slice information indicating a plurality of slices of the network dedicated to a plurality of network subscribers is accessed. Provisioning of one of more slices of the plurality of slices to the entity is orchestrated, according to the request.

The method includes: if a first data packet is received, determining a first cache queue that is in the first buffer and that is used to store the first data packet; buffering the first data packet in the second buffer if a state of the first cache queue is an invalid state, where a data amount of the first data packet is less than the capacity of the second buffer, and the state of the first cache queue is set to the invalid state when a current data amount of the first buffer reaches the capacity of the first buffer; and if a data amount of the second buffer reaches the capacity of the second buffer, sending all data packets that are in the second buffer to a control plane device.
AUTOMATED DECISION TECHNIQUES FOR CONTROLLING RESOURCE ACCESS
A durability assessment system may receive a request, from a computing system, for a durability index describing an entity. The durability assessment system may determine the durability index based on information about the resource usage by the entity, such as a resource availability score or a resource allocation score. The durability assessment system may compare the obtained resource availability score and resource allocation score to ranges associated with a set of durability indices. Based on the comparison, the durability assessment system may determine a durability index for the entity. The durability index may indicate an ability of the entity to return accessed resources. In some cases, the durability assessment system may provide the durability index to an allocation computing system that is configured to determine whether to grant access to resources based on the durability index.

Examples described herein relate to apparatuses and methods for managing communications within a supercluster or across superclusters, including a first supercluster having a plurality of first machines and a publish-subscribe (Pub-Sub) channel to which each of the plurality of first machines is subscribed. A second supercluster has a plurality of second machines and a bridge between the first supercluster and the second supercluster. A first machine is configured to receive, via the bridge, an availability status and resource allocation information of each second machine and publish, on the Pub-Sub channel of the first supercluster, the availability status and the resource allocation information.

A method and system for allocating tasks among processing devices in a data center. The method may include receiving a request to allocate a task to one or more processing devices, the request indicating a required bandwidth for performing the task, a list of predefined processing device groups connected to a host server and indicating availability of the processing device groups included therein for allocation of tasks and available bandwidth for each available processing device group, assigning the task to a processing device group having an available bandwidth greater than or equal to the required bandwidth for performing the task, and updating the list to indicate that each of the processing device group to which the task is assigned and other processing device group sharing at least one processing device is unavailable. The task may be assigned to an available processing device group having a lowest amount of power needed.
System, method, and computer program for orchestrating re-provisioning of network subscriber dedicated network slices
As described herein, a system, method, and computer program are provided for orchestrating re-provisioning of network subscriber dedicated network slices. A request is received from an entity for use of a network. Network slice information indicating a plurality of slices of the network dedicated to a plurality of network subscribers is accessed. Provisioning of one of more slices of the plurality of slices to the entity is orchestrated, according to the request.

In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a request to establish a path for a data stream from the first network apparatus to a second network apparatus, where the request is associated with a requested bandwidth for the data stream, and where the first network apparatus and the second network apparatus are connected by a link aggregation group including a number of physical links, accessing bandwidth information representing a number of remaining bandwidths of the respective multiple of physical links, determining that the requested bandwidth is not satisfied by any of the number of remaining bandwidths of the number of physical links, and sending a response rejecting the request to establish the path.

A first network node in a communication network can evaluate whether to scale a first resource of a network slice of the communication network. The first network node can receive, from a second network node of the communication network, a first message indicating a request for approval to scale the first resource of the network slice. Responsive to receiving the first message, the first network node can determine whether to scale the first resource of the network slice based on information regarding a second resource. The first and second resources may be of different types. The first network node can transmit, to the second network node, a second message indicating whether to scale the first resource of the network slice based on determining whether to scale the first resource of the network slice. Related methods are also discussed.
Bandwidth Awareness in a Link Aggregation Group
In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a request to establish a path for a data stream from the first network apparatus to a second network apparatus, where the request is associated with a requested bandwidth for the data stream, and where the first network apparatus and the second network apparatus are connected by a link aggregation group including a number of physical Ethernet links, accessing bandwidth information representing a number of remaining bandwidths of the respective multiple of physical Ethernet links, determining that the requested bandwidth is not satisfied by any of the number of remaining bandwidths of the number of physical Ethernet links, and sending a response rejecting the request to establish the path.
Methods and apparatuses for providing internet-based proxy services
A proxy server receives from a client network application a request for an action to be performed on an identified network resource of a domain of an origin server. The request is received at the proxy server as a result of a DNS request for the domain returning an IP address of the proxy server. The proxy server determines that the first request is indicative of being from a bot. Responsive to this determination, the proxy server transmits a block page to the client network application that includes a mechanism to allow a human user of the client network application to provide input that indicates that they are human and not a bot. If the proxy server does not receive input from the client network application through the mechanism in the block page that indicates that the first request is not from a bot, the proxy server blocks the request.
