Electronic device and method for continuously reproducing multimedia content in external electronic device
An electronic device and a method for controlling the electronic device are provided. Multimedia content is reproduced in the electronic device. After the reproduction of the multimedia content in the electronic device, a display of the electronic device is controlled to display a plurality of objects respectively indicating a plurality of external devices which is identified by the electronic device. In response to input to an object among the plurality of objects, an external device indicated by the object is authorized to continuously reproduce multimedia content.
POST-CONFERENCE PLAYBACK SYSTEM HAVING HIGHER PERCEIVED QUALITY THAN ORIGINALLY HEARD IN THE CONFERENCE
Some aspects of the present disclosure involve the recording, processing and playback of audio data corresponding to conferences, such as teleconferences. In some teleconference implementations, the audio experience heard when a recording of the conference is played back may be substantially different from the audio experience of an individual conference participant during the original teleconference. In some implementations, the recorded audio data may include at least some audio data that was not available during the teleconference. In some examples, the spatial characteristics of the played-back audio data may be different from that of the audio heard by participants of the teleconference.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING INFORMATION ABOUT TASK TO EXTERNAL DEVICE
A method and a system for an external device with information about a task being performed by a user device are provided. The method includes receiving information about the task being performed by the user device, identifying a plurality of external devices located near a wearable device of a user of the user device, determining a first external device to continuously perform the task from among the plurality of external devices based on the information about the task and characteristics information about the identified external devices, and transmitting the information about the task to the first external device.
System and Method for Managing and/or Rendering Internet Multimedia Content in a Network
A system and a method render internet multimedia content in a network using an application to render the internet multimedia content and/or locally stored multimedia content on one or more rendering devices in the network. The application may provide web browser functions, such as, for example, receiving, processing, decoding and/or rendering the internet multimedia content. The application may have an enhanced user interface which may enable a user to select the internet multimedia content and a rendering device in the network, send the internet multimedia content to the rendering device and/or control rendering of the internet multimedia content on the rendering device.
INTERACTIVE VIDEO CONFERENCING
Technology for a first multimedia telephony services over internet protocol (IP) multimedia subsystems (IMS) (MTSI) client operable to support region of interest (ROI) signaling with a second MTSI client is disclosed. The first MTSI client can identify a requested region of interest (ROI). The first MTSI client can encode the requested ROI for transmission to the second MTSI client via a real-time transport control protocol (RTCP) feedback message. The first MTSI client can decode encoded video received from the second MTSI client that corresponds to the requested ROI.
SEAMLESS CODEC SWITCHING
In various embodiments, a corpus of codecs may be correlated with different, partially overlapping ranges of transmission characteristics. As channel conditions degrade or improve, the system may select a new codec with which to continue the connection based upon the corresponding overlapping range. Codecs may not be switched immediately when the transmission characteristics enter overlapping ranges, to avoid degrading the user's experience. If the characteristics remain in the overlap, or manifest a likely progression toward another region, then the transition may be effected.
SIMPLE AFFIRMATIVE RESPONSE OPERATING SYSTEM
A simple affirmative response operating system for selecting a data item from a list of options using a unique affirmative action. Text-based labels in a listing of content are converted to speech using an embedded text-to-speech engine and an audio output of a first converted label is provided. A listening state is entered into for a predefined pause time to await receipt of the simple affirmative action. If the simple affirmative action is performed during the predefined pause time, an associated content item is selected for output. If the simple affirmative action is not performed during the predefined pause time, an audio output of a next converted label in the list is provided. This protocol may be used to control a variety of computing devices safely and efficiently while a user is distracted or disabled from using traditional input methods.
Orientation Based, Aspect Ratio Switching Video Playback System
An orientation based, aspect-ratio switching video playback system selects from multiple video streams having corresponding content to automatically match the orientation of the device and play a version of the video filmed, produced and formatted for that orientation. Orientation changes may occur at any time during playback. When an orientation change is detected, the video playback system stores the current playback time, switches to the video stream optimized for the new orientation, and resumes playback from the stored playback time. Switching may be performed automatically and seamlessly to enable the viewer to continue watching the video in the new orientation, at the optimal aspect ratio for such orientation, using the full screen area without clipping any video content, and without interruption.
Method and system for managing a meeting session
The present disclosure relates to a method and system for managing a meeting session. In accordance with one example, there is provided a method of managing a meeting session on a server that manages the meeting session, the meeting session comprising one or more participant devices and a presenter device. The method comprises receiving one or more break request messages from the participant devices, and sending a break message to the participant devices, the break message causing a break notification to be displayed on a display of the participant devices.
