System and method for updating participants in parallel overlapping conferences
Examples disclosed herein provide methods and systems for updating participants in parallel ongoing conferences through a central conference call management system. In at least one implementation, a method of operating a conference call management system is provided. The method includes monitoring an ongoing first conference call, and receiving a request from one or more users for a second conference call to utilize at least some of the same resources as the first conference call. The method also includes determining an estimated time remaining for the first conference call by analyzing at least some content of the first conference call, and providing the estimated time remaining for the first conference call to the one or more users.
EXPERIENCE AND TRANSITIONING BETWEEN VIRTUAL REALITY AND AUGMENTED REALITY ENVIRONMENTS USING A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method in which a processing system facilitates a user session that includes a plurality of alternate reality environments; selects for each environment a format for presentation of the content in accordance with characteristics of that environment; and presents, in each of the environments, the content according to the selected format, so that a presentation of the content according to a first format in a first environment is substantially simultaneous with a second presentation of the content according to a second format in a second environment. The method also includes facilitating sharing the content by user equipment in different environments, and facilitating a transition of a user between environments, including capturing user content consumed or generated by the user during the user session and formatting the user content for access in the user's new environment. Other embodiments are disclosed.
DYNAMIC GROUP SESSION DATA ACCESS PROTOCOLS
Systems, methods and apparatus are provided for a Dynamic Group Session Data Access Protocol. The system may monitor participant input in a group interactive session. The system may be trained to monitor and understand the group environment and predict intent of the participant discussion and may predict relevant data. The system may be used by a single participant or by multiple participants. The system may determine the access level of the participants. The system may determine the access level of the data. The system may compare the access level of the participants with the access level of the data. The system may dynamically mask the data if the access level of the participants does not match the access level of the data. The system may create customized views of the data for each participant based on the participant's access level and the access level of the data.
Merging communication sessions between users having a common ground
System, apparatus, and methods are described for monitoring communication sessions and determining to merge two or more of the communication sessions sharing a common ground into a common communication session. A common communication channel may be determined for the common communication session. The two or more communication sessions may be merged to generate the common communication session using the common communication channel.
DIGITAL VIDEO SHARING, ANALYSIS, AND AGGREGATION
Systems and methods are disclosed that facilitate providing a real-time training session between a mentor's communication device and a mentee's communication device, in which the mentor's communication device is granted control over the mentee's communication device in order to provide real-time instruction and video annotation. Mentee (player) data and progression over time are stored, and updatable ranked lists of mentees are generated for recruiting purposes, the wherein rankings are a function of player metrics, attributes, and progression over time. The systems and methods facilitate matching, mentor search and filter, scheduling, live chat, notifications, a rating system, and robust mentor profiles which include bios, photos, areas of expertise, and an introduction video.
AUTOMATIC MUTE AND UNMUTE FOR AUDIO CONFERENCING
Techniques for controlling an audio conference include receiving audio data from a participant in the audio conference, analyzing the audio data to determine one or more of a speaker of the audio data or a context of the audio data to produce an analysis of the audio data, and controlling a microphone or adjusting the audio data of the participant based on the analysis of the audio data. The microphone may be muted based on a determination that the speaker is not the participant or the content of the audio is outside of the context of the audio conference.
Systems and methods for creating and managing breakout sessions for a conference session
Systems and methods for creating, monitoring, and managing a breakout conference for a conference call are disclosed. The methods determine topics for breakout rooms and their complexity scores. A breakout room is created for the topics, including separate breakout rooms for complex topics. An expertise score based on a plurality of factors for each device associated with a participant is also calculated. Devices are assigned to separate breakout rooms based on either just the expertise score or if the expertise score meets the threshold of the complexity score. Performance within the breakout rooms is displayed in real-time, such as in a graph. A moderator schedule is generated based the performance within the breakout rooms, where priority is given to a breakout room that has a negative performance over a breakout room with a positive performance.
DISTANCE-BASED FRAMING FOR AN ONLINE CONFERENCE SESSION
Distance-based framing includes obtaining at least a video stream during an online conference session. The video stream, an audio stream received with the video stream, or both the video stream and the audio stream are analyzed and a framing that either focuses on a speaker in the video stream or provides an overview of participants in the video stream, the framing being is composed based on the analyzing. A potential error in the framing is detected based on further analysis of at least one of the video stream, the audio stream, or distance sensor data received with the video stream. If the distance sensor data contradicts the potential error, the framing is maintained, but if the distance sensor data confirms the potential error, a new framing is generated.
GAZE-BASED WINDOW ADJUSTMENTS
In one example in accordance with the disclosure, a computing device is described. An example computing device includes a gaze tracking device. An example gaze tracking device identifies, from a captured image, a gaze region for a user viewing a display device coupled to the example computing device. The gaze region indicates a location on the display device where the user is looking. The example computing device includes a controller. An example controller determines a first window on the display device that is aligned with the gaze region and based on a determination that the first window is aligned with the gaze region, adjusts a video setting of a second window that is outside the gaze region.
Relayed communication channel establishment
Establishing a communication channel via a relay server with reduced setup time. Upon request by an initiating communication device a relay allocation server may allocate a single relay server for use in a communication session between the initiating communication device and one or more recipient communication devices. The relay server may be selected to perform favorably for the initiating communication device. Messaging for establishment of the communication session may be performed using persistent messaging connections, to avoid connection establishment cost. Messaging may also be performed using address tokens to avoid the cost of discovering global IP addresses. Following establishment of the communication session, the relay server may discover the IP address of one or more recipient communication devices, and may initiate reallocation of those devices to another relay server.
