Local cache maintenance for media content
A media device and methods that identify playback states reachable from a current content playback state and identify a reachable state that is likely to occur, are disclosed. A memory associated with the media device may receive frames that enable a smooth transition between the playback state and the reachable state. The media device may receive frames that correspond to points in the content that are separated by an amount of time that is proportional to the playback rate of the likely state. The frames may be frames corresponding to an image that may be played back at the playback rate of the likely state.

System for broadcasting events
Systems and methods for broadcasting events are provided. The system, for example, may include, but is not limited to, a communication system, a memory, and a processor. The processor may be configured to receive, from the communication system, a session identifier identifying a broadcast session and at least one application event corresponding to the broadcast session from a presenting electronic device, update a playback queue corresponding to the broadcast session stored in the memory based upon the received at least one application event, receive, from the communication system, a subscription request to the broadcast session from at least one subscribing electronic device, and transmit, via the communication system, a corresponding playback queue to each electronic device subscribed to the broadcast session, the playback queue including instructions to regenerate the application event within an application operating on the at least one subscribing electronic device.

System and method for advanced data management with video enabled software tools for video broadcasting environments
Video editing software tools platform utilizing a video display to provide access to specific video editing software tools, such as video oriented applications or widgets, that can assist those in a video broadcasting team, such as a camera operator or video editor, with a video broadcast feed. Various video editing software tools can provide features and functions that can add visual context to video data presented in the image stream from the video camera and provide archived information pertaining to the same. Various embodiments relate to systems and methods for simultaneously switching input image streams to output devices, while providing optional image processing functions on the image streams. Certain embodiments may enable multiple users/viewers to collaboratively control such systems and methods.
Technologies for scalable capability detection for multimedia casting
Technologies for casting digital media content include a source computing device communicatively coupled to a destination computing device. The source computing device is configured to transmit a set of identifiers of the source computing device to the destination computing device and receive a set of identifiers of the destination computing device from the destination computing device. Each set of identifiers includes a version (e.g., hardware or software) associated with the respective computing device and a unique identifier of the respective computing device. The source computing device is additionally configured to determine a subset of casting session parameters from a set of casting session parameters based on the one or more capabilities of the destination computing device which are usable by the destination computing device to establish a casting session and stream digital media content in accordance with the subset of casting session parameters. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
