Brokering servers based on remote access performance

Examples of a method for brokering remote servers are described herein. In some examples, performance data is received from a plurality of remote servers, where the performance data indicates rendering performance of a foreground application executed by at least one of the remote servers and streamed from at least one of the remote servers over a remote desktop connection. An indication of a selected application is received from a client. The client is directed to at least one of the remote servers based on the performance data and the selected application.

IMPLEMENTING QUEUES (FIFO) AND STACKS (FILO) ON TOP DISPERSED STORAGE
20170357666 · 2017-12-14 ·

A computing device includes an interface to communicate with a dispersed storage network (DSN), a memory, and a processing module. The computing device receives, from another computing device, a write queue entry request to facilitate storage of one or more queue entries of a queue in a set of storage units (SUs). The computing device dispersed error encodes at least a portion of the write queue entry request to generate a set of queue entry encoded slices (QEESs). The computing device generates a write request, based on the write queue entry request, that includes a slice name corresponding to a QEES of the set of QEESs that includes a queue entry identifier (ID) field that includes a timestamp field and/or an entry number of the write queue entry request. The computing device transmits the write request to the set of SUs to facilitate distributed storage of the set of QEESs.

PROGRAM FOR ADJUSTING CHANNEL INTERFERENCE BETWEEN ACCESS POINTS IN A WIRELESS NETWORK

The performance and ease of management of wireless communications environments is improved by a mechanism that enables access points (APs) to perform automatic channel selection. A wireless network can therefore include multiple APs, each of which will automatically choose a channel such that channel usage is optimized. Furthermore, APs can perform automatic power adjustment so that multiple APs can operate on the same channel while minimizing interference with each other. Wireless stations are load balanced across APs so that user bandwidth is optimized. A movement detection scheme provides seamless roaming of stations between APs.

Managing content distribution in a wireless communications environment

A method, system and computer program product for managing content distribution in a mobile communications environment. The communications environment includes a core network and a multitude of end-user devices. In one embodiment, the method comprises downloading content from the core network to the end-user devices; and maintaining a map between the end-user devices, the content downloaded to the end-user devices, and the locations of the end-user devices. When a first of the end-user devices requests a specified content, this map and one or more rules are used to identify a second of the end-user devices having the specified content. The first of the end-user devices fetches the specified content from this identified second of the end-user devices. In one embodiment, object location descriptors embedded in the content are rewritten when the content is downloaded to the end-user devices.

REMOTE ATTESTATION METHOD, APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND COMPUTER STORAGE MEDIUM

This application discloses a remote attestation method, applied to a remote attestation system, where the remote attestation system includes a plurality of RA servers and a plurality of network devices, and the method is performed by any one of the plurality of network devices. In the method, the network device obtains an integrity measurement value of a measurement object in the network device, and sends the integrity measurement value of the measurement object to at least one of the plurality of RA servers, so that the at least one RA server performs remote attestation on integrity of the measurement object in the network device. This implements reliable integrity attestation in an open cross-vendor system.

A remote attestation method implemented by a network device where the network device obtains an integrity measurement value of a measurement object in the network device, and sends the integrity measurement value of the measurement object to at least one of a plurality of remote attestation (RA) servers to enable the at least one RA server to perform remote attestation on integrity of the measurement object in the network device.

System and method for implementing application functionality within a network infrastructure

A system and method for implementing functionality within a network on behalf of first and second devices communicating with each other through the network. A front-end device is provided within the network that communicates data traffic with the first device. A back-end device is also implemented within the network and communicates data traffic with the second device. A communication channel couples the front-end device and the back-end device. Data traffic may be encoded into a different type or protocol for transport through the communication channel by the front-end device and back-end device. The front-end device and back-end device exchange quality of service information and may alter characteristics of the data traffic through the communication channel according to the quality of service information.

Distributed cache for state transfer operations
09813520 · 2017-11-07 · ·

A network arrangement that employs a cache having copies distributed among a plurality of different locations. The cache stores state information for a session with any of the server devices so that it is accessible to at least one other server device. Using this arrangement, when a client device switches from a connection with a first server device to a connection with a second server device, the second server device can retrieve state information from the cache corresponding to the session between the client device and the first server device. The second server device can then use the retrieved state information to accept a session with the client device.

TIERED SERVER TOPOLOGY

The present invention utilizes a database network topology which allows a single shared value to be updated by a multitude of users simultaneously on multiple sub-level servers which feed higher level servers, which aggregate the data from the sub-level servers, and feed a master server, which aggregates all the data updates and feeds back to the users. The network topology is best represented as a pyramid.
