Hands-free mode optimization with multiple devices
Methods and systems are described for coordinating multiple calls across multiple devices. The system includes a communication interface configured to be paired with multiple mobile devices while maintaining concurrent communication with the multiple mobile devices. A controller is configured to connect a microphone and a speaker to the first mobile device via the communication interface to transmit and receive audio in a hands-free mode in response to detecting the first call at the first mobile device. The controller is configured to output a first prompt for selection of whether to continue the first call through the communication interface in the hands-free mode in response to detecting the second call at the second mobile device. The controller is configured to disconnect the microphone and the speaker from the first mobile device in response to receiving a first input indicating a selection of exiting the hands-free mode for the first call.
Restrictions on mobile device usage when driving a vehicle
Disclosed are various embodiments for restricting usage of a mobile device when a user is driving a vehicle. In one embodiment, it is determined that a mobile device is in use by a driver of an active vehicle. A functionality of the mobile device is then restricted based at least in part on determining that the mobile device is in use by the driver of the active vehicle. For example, a touch screen of the mobile device may be disabled, and the use of a hands-free interface may be made mandatory.
Hands-free device, data transfer method, and computer program product
A hands-free device according to the present disclosure includes a memory and a processor coupled to the memory. The processor is configured to: connect to a cellular phone in a hands-free telephone conversation-enabled manner pursuant to HFP; receive from the cellular phone at least one of outgoing call history data, incoming call history data, unattended incoming call history data, and telephone directory data stored in the cellular phone by a communication protocol pursuant to PBAP; and receive, when the cellular phone receives a voice message or an answerphone record, at least one of information on the voice message and information on the answerphone record from the cellular phone.
Hands-free apparatus, method of data transfer, and computer-readable medium
A hands-free apparatus includes a memory and a hardware processor coupled to the memory. The hardware processor is configured to: connect to a mobile phone to enable a hands-free telephone conversation; receive at least one data of outgoing call history data, incoming call history data, missed call history data, and phonebook data stored in the mobile phone; and execute synchronization permission checking processing to check whether transfer of the at least one data is permitted in the mobile phone before receiving the at least one data from the mobile phone.
Transmitter near a phone restricts some functions not all
A system and method to automatically modify the functionality of telephones when they are located in particular environments. Located in each such environment is a low power radio transmitter with limited range. When the telephone detects a signal from the low power transmitter, the telephone changes its mode of operation such as by turning off a speaker or a ring signal capability or a normal display capability or a normal key input capability. The environment may be within a vehicle.
Hands-free apparatus, method of data transfer, and computer-readable medium
A hands-free apparatus includes a memory, and a hardware processor coupled to the memory. The hardware processor is configured to: connect to a plurality of mobile phones to enable a hands-free telephone conversation; and receive at least one data among outgoing call history data, incoming call history data, missed call history data, and phonebook data stored in one mobile phone among the plurality of mobile phones. The hardware processor is configured to, when receiving the data from the one mobile phone, execute reception of the data from a second mobile phone at a prescribed timing.
DISPLAY CONTROL DEVICE, DISPLAY CONTROL METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM HAVING DISPLAY CONTROL PROGRAM RECORDED THEREON
A display control device includes an incoming call detection unit and a display control unit that controls a display by providing a first display area and a second display area on a touch panel, and when the incoming call is detected, the display control unit displays an answer button and an ignore button of the incoming call in the second display area and sets at least one of starting buttons displayed in the first display area to an inoperable state.
Hands-free device, data transfer method, and computer-readable medium
A hands-free device includes a memory, and a hardware processor coupled to the memory. The hardware processor being configured to: connect to a mobile phone to enable a hands-free call; receive at least one of outgoing call history data, incoming call history data, missed call history data, and phonebook data stored in the mobile phone; and delete data transferred from the mobile phone in a case where a predetermined condition is satisfied.
Vehicle and a control method thereof
A vehicle includes a communication device configured to communicate with a user terminal. The vehicle further includes an input processor configured to recognize a voice of a telephone call received by the user terminal and generate a voice recognition result on the voice of the telephone call. The vehicle also includes a dialogue manager configured to determine telephone call contents based on the voice recognition result and determine whether or not to provide the telephone call contents to a user based on the telephone call contents.
Hands-free device, data transfer method, and recording medium
A hands-free device is disclosed, in which a memory and a hardware processor connected to the memory are included. The hardware processor establishes a connection with a mobile phone using a hands-free communication protocol for making a hands-free call. The hardware processor establishes a connection with the mobile phone using a data transfer protocol for transferring phone data about a phone to receive the phone data transferred from the mobile phone, and stores the phone data into the memory. When a phone communication state of the mobile phone is transitioned while the phone data is being transferred, the hardware processor executes transfer control in accordance with transfer criteria, each depending on a type of the phone data being transferred and the phone communication state after the transition.
