Method and user equipment for detecting a potentially fraudulent call

A method and a User Equipment, UE (120) for detecting that the UE has received a fraudulent missed call, e.g. from a non-legitimate device (150). When receiving a missed call which is ended before a user of the UE has answered the incoming call, the UE determines the duration of the missed call, and indicates, e.g. to a user of the UE, the 5 duration of the missed call. The missed call may be determined as potentially fraudulent if the duration of the missed call is below or equal to a predetermined threshold.

An electronic device having a user interface for accessing phone features. The user interface accounts for whether the electronic device is connected to a companion cellular phone. The user interface accounts for a headset is available for use to carry on a call. The user interface permits transition between using one or more of cellular phone, headset, and/or the electronic device to be used for carrying on incoming or outgoing calls.

The actions further include determining a user intent of a first previous portion of the telephone conversation spoken by the user and a bot intent of a second previous portion of the telephone conversation outputted by a speech synthesizer of the bot. The actions further include, based on the audio data of the utterance, the context of the telephone conversation, the user intent, and the bot intent, generating synthesized speech of a reply by the bot to the utterance. The actions further include, providing, for output, the synthesized speech.
