RESTORING FUNCTIONALITY OF A MOBILE DEVICE
A method and system of restoring a functionality of a mobile user device. A lock screen is displayed on the display of the user device. An international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) of a subscriber identity module (SIM) card presently installed in the user device is determined. The IMSI is sent to a Remote Recovery Server (RRS). A message is received from the RRS indicating whether the IMSI is authorized for the user device and whether an account of the user device is replenished at least in part. Upon determining that the IMSI is authorized for the user device and the account of the user device is replenished at least in part, at least one function that was previously restricted is restored.
System and method to support diameter credit control session redirection using SCIM/service broker
A system and method which overcome the limitations of online charging systems which do not natively support redirection functionality. In an embodiment of the invention a SCIM provides the added redirection functionality to online charging systems which do not natively support redirection functionality. The SCIM supports redirection of a user session to a process application in a manner which allows the user to easily continue with the activity the user was engaged. If selected criteria are met the SCIM can update credit control answers (CCA) with redirection information to redirect the session to an application.
Restoring functionality of a mobile device

An international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) of a subscriber identity module (SIM) card presently installed in the user device is determined. The IMSI is sent to a Remote Recovery Server (RRS). A message is received from the RRS indicating whether the IMSI is authorized for the user device and whether an account of the user device is replenished at least in part. Upon determining that the IMSI is authorized for the user device and the account of the user device is replenished at least in part, at least one function that was previously restricted is restored.
Solar lighting with pay-as-you go technology
Disclosed are systems, devices and methods for providing solar lighting and power to a customer by using pay-as-you-go (PAYG) technology. The PAYG technology allows a customer to make incremental payments for a solar energy system that includes a lighting unit. The payments can be made through a smartphone. A cable is used to connect an audio jack of the smartphone and a PV power jack of the lighting unit. Analog AC signals including data about activation, payment, usage and status are transmitted over the cable between the service provider and lighting unit, through a smartphone. The power jack of the lighting unit is also used to connect to a solar panel of a charging unit and a battery of the lighting unit.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING TELECOM SERVICE ACCESS CREDIT
A method for accessing telecommunications services (124-126) from a terminal (110-112, 140-142) having credit-based communications capabilities. The method includes consuming credit when accessing telecommunications services, when available communications credit value becomes lower than a predefined threshold, providing to a user of said terminal a action selection user interface enabling the selection of a credit-generating action by the user, and after the action has been executed, recharging communications credit for the user. The present invention also provides a system for implementing the method.
Detection of a delinquent mobile device
A method and system of detecting a delinquent mobile user device. An international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) of a subscriber identity module (SIM) card of the user device is determined by the user device. The IMSI is sent to a Remote Recovery Server (RRS). A message is received from the RRS as to whether the IMSI is authorized for the user device. Upon determining that the IMSI is not authorized for the user device, a notification is displayed on a display of the user device.

Method and system to provide network status information to a device
Network status information is provided to a mobile device. The data usage of the mobile device is tracked. A data usage criterion is determined from an account for the mobile device. The account information is stored on at least one server. The data usage is compared with the data usage criterion. Based on the comparison, it is determined whether the data usage meets the data usage criterion. Upon determining that the data usage meets the data usage criterion, a notification message is sent to the mobile device in real time through an information element field within an existing message in a bearer channel of the wireless packet data communication network. The notification message may instruct the mobile device to prevent generation and/or transmission of automatic network access requests while allowing user-initiated network access requests.
In session charging notifications and recharging accounts
Various embodiments provide a subscription management service, which can be in-band or out-of-band, which allows users to extend their subscription or temporarily side-step payment limits on a subscription without disrupting the user's experience. The various embodiments can be operable in all on-demand services including, but not limited to, video services, voice services, video/voice services, text services, Web services, and the like.
