Method and system for situational awareness for emergency response
Disclosed are systems and methods for sending emergency alerts. In some embodiments, sensors and wearable devices may trigger and send the emergency alerts and/or warning signals via available communication devices. Multi-media emergency alerts are also disclosed that include situational awareness information for effective and efficient emergency response.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANAGING CONTACTS THEREOF
Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an electronic device and a method for managing a contact thereof. The electronic device can include: at least one processor, and a memory operatively coupled to the at least one processor. The memory can store instructions which, when executed, cause the at least one processor to: collect data related to a contact of a specified user, extract at least one piece of individual feature information by analyzing the collected data, provide differentiated individual identity information by comparing the extracted individual feature information with individual feature information of other users, and store the provided individual identity information in the memory in conjunction with the contact of the specific user.
COMMUNICATION PLATFORM
This disclosure relates to a communication system where a user can use a smart phone to scan a tag, such as a QR code, to retrieve a weblink. The weblink is unique and associated with the location of the tag, which may also be the location of an unpersonalised device, such as a video projector or other A/V equipment. Therefore, when the mobile phone connects to the weblink, the webserver can retrieve information associated with this particular unique code. This information is now specific to the location of the tag and may even include information about the unpersonalised device. The operator receives the information when the communication channel is established and therefore knows exactly what the subject of the call will be. Further, the call can be automatically routed to the most appropriate operator without audio menus to be navigated by the user.
Dynamic agent management for multiple queues
An example system for dynamic agent management involving multiple queues is presented. The system may include a remote network management platform that manages a network by way of a computational instance. A first group and a second group of agents may be assigned to address work items in a first queue in the computational instance. The second group may also be assigned to address and prioritize work items in a second queue in the computational instance. A computing device within the computational instance may assign a work item originating from a client device in the managed network into the first queue according to routing rules. The assignment may cause a timer to record a duration that the work item is in the first queue. The computing device may assign one of the second group of agents to address the work item based on the duration exceeding a pre-determined value.
Service control point functionality implemented at communication endpoints
A system for managing customer-to-business voice communication has a network-connected communications device and instructions executable on the communications device from a non-transitory physical medium, the instructions providing a first function for determining if a destination asserted requires treatment, a second function for sending data from the communications device to a network-connected server, a third function for receiving alternative destination information from the server, and a fourth function for establishing communication with the business based on the returned destination information.
System, method, and computer-readable medium for streaming real-time data from a user device
A method comprising obtaining a phone number of a mobile device used by a user making an emergency call. The emergency call is conducted with a recipient through a first connection. The method also comprises transmitting a uniform resource locator (URL) to the mobile device through an electronic message. The electronic message is transmitted through a second connection using the phone number. The second connection is different from the first connection. The electronic message allows the user to click on the URL to access a web browser on the mobile device, instead of a full application on the mobile device, to establish a WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) session to transmit a real-time video stream from the mobile device. The URL is associated with the phone number of the mobile device. The method additionally comprises receiving the real-time video stream from the mobile device through the WebRTC session. The method further comprises sending the real-time video stream to the recipient for display on a screen of the recipient. The real-time video stream is associated with a unique identifier for the mobile. Other embodiments are described.
ENHANCED COMMUNICATION SERVICES BASED ON ITINERARY DATA
Described herein are techniques for providing enhanced services to a user device based on itinerary data. Such techniques may comprise receiving itinerary data that comprises an indication of at least one event associated with a user device, determining, based on the itinerary data, a temporary user device identifier to be provisioned onto the user device in relation to the at least one event, providing the temporary user device identifier to the user device to be provisioned onto the user device while the at least one event is occurring, and upon receiving a communication directed toward the temporary user device identifier while the at least one event is occurring, routing the communication to the user device.
Selective call routing and notification for multi-endpoint terminals
A device may obtain information. The information may represent a distance between a first user device and a second user device. The first user device and the second user device may share a destination address. The device may receive a first message associated with a call. The first message may be received based on the call having been made to the destination address. The device may determine, based on the information, whether to provide a second message associated with the call or a notification associated with the call. The device may selectively provide the second message or the notification based on determining whether to provide the second message or the notification.
Content Publishing Systems and Methods
A system for publishing digital content is described which, in one embodiment, includes a beacon device associated with a first user configured to transmit identification information and information indicating its current position. A browsing device includes a display configured and adapted to display to a second user a representation of a local geographical area, and to selectively display to the second user content information associated with the first user, based at least in part on whether the location of the beacon device is within the local geographical area.
Providing city services using mobile devices and a sensor network
Apparatus and methods related providing city services, such as parking, are described. A mobile device can be configured to receive information from local sensor nodes, such as parking sensor nodes, in the vicinity of the mobile device. In a parking application, the mobile device located in a moving vehicle can be configured to locate available parking based upon the information received from the parking sensor nodes. In other embodiments, the mobile device can be utilized in a retail establishment in conjunction with a remote server to display eye-level image data taken at various locations throughout the retail establishment. The eye-level image data can include products displayed throughout the retail establishment and can be augmented with one or more indicators that indicate product placement locations associated with the products.
