An electronic device having a user interface for accessing phone features. The user interface accounts for whether the electronic device is connected to a companion cellular phone. The user interface accounts for a headset is available for use to carry on a call. The user interface permits transition between using one or more of cellular phone, headset, and/or the electronic device to be used for carrying on incoming or outgoing calls.

In response to detecting that an external device is within communication range of an electronic device and in accordance with a determination that the external device is in a pairing mode, the electronic device displays an affordance corresponding to a pairing application of the electronic device. In response to detecting that an external device is within communication range of an electronic device and in accordance with a determination that the external device is not in the pairing mode, the electronic device forgoes display of the affordance. A hands-free device enables a hands-free call by being wirelessly connected to a mobile phone. The hands-free device incudes a hardware processor configured to: perform a control related to data transfer using a transfer protocol for implementing transfer of history data including incoming call history data and outgoing call history data, and phone book data stored in the mobile phone when the mobile phone is in a wireless connection area; receive the history data and the phone book data from the mobile phone through communication using the transfer protocol; and store the history data and the phone book data that are received. The hardware processor is configured to perform the control to transfer the history data prior to the phone book data.

A play mode adopted by the wireless earphone includes a first play mode and a second play mode, and the method includes: determining whether the first play mode currently adopted by the wireless earphone satisfies a transmission bandwidth required by to-be-played audio data at least based on parameter information of the to-be-played audio data; and based on the first play mode not satisfying the transmission bandwidth required by the to-be-played audio data, transmitting the to-be-played audio data through a connection channel corresponding to the second play mode.

The system includes a server administered by an administrator, a software application executable on a portable electronic device in communication with the server, a unique registration identifier associated with the portable electronic device, and a distance tracking device. The association between the portable electronic device and the unique registration identifier is stored on the server. The software application is configured to connect to the distance tracking device. The distance tracking device is configured to provide a notification when the distance tracking device is further than a predetermined boundary from the portable electronic device. When the unique registration identifier is entered at a website associated with the server, return delivery information is provided.
