Signal adjusting device, signal adjusting method, and test equipment
A signal adjusting device and method, and a test equipment. The signal adjusting device includes: a level controller, a level circuit, a comparison circuit and a selecting circuit. The level circuit is electrically connected with the selecting circuit; the level controller is configured to perform a level adjustment to a first signal, so as to generate a level signal, and the generated level signal is outputted by the level circuit; the comparison circuit is configured to: determine that the level signal meets a preset condition, and generate and output a corresponding feedback signal to the selecting circuit, in response to determining that the level signal satisfies the preset condition; and the selecting circuit is configured to output, as an adjusted signal, the level signal corresponding to the feedback signal.
DISPLAY DEVICE AND OPERATING METHOD OF THE SAME
Provided are a display device and an operation method of controlling the same. The operating method of the display device configured to receive contents through a high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) communication from an image providing apparatus includes performing HDMI communication with the image providing apparatus, detecting an error of an HDMI communication channel, calculating an error value of the HDMI communication channel by using a predefined channel performance measurement algorithm based on the error of the HDMI communication channel being detected, determining whether to change extended display identification data (EDID) based on the calculated error value, and outputting the contents based on the EDID corresponding to a result of the determining.
DISPLAY APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
A display apparatus includes a display; a content receiver configured to receive image content; a communication interface configured to communicate with a service apparatus; a storage configured to store a setting value of factor related to an operation of the content receiver, the communication interface, and the display; and a controller configured to change the setting value of factor related to the operation of at least one of the content receiver, the communication interface, and the display, and to determine whether a risk of an operation error of at least one is caused due to the changed setting value. When it is determined that there is the at least one risk of the operation error due to the changed setting value, the controller is configured to transmit information about the factor and the operation error to a service apparatus through the communication interface.
Measures for image testing
A system and method for image testing is configured to apply at least one display property to a test image to generate a display modified test image and applying the at least one display property to a reference image to generate a display modified reference image. The system also applies a human eye model to the display modified test image to generate an eye modified test image and applies the human eye model to the display modified reference image to generate an eye modified reference image. The system may compare the eye modified test image with the eye modified reference image to determine human perceivable differences between the test image and the reference image.
Set-Top Box with Self-Monitoring and System and Method for Use of Same
A set-top box with self-monitoring and system and method for use of the same are disclosed. In one embodiment of the set-top box, a housing secures a television input, a television output, a processor, memory, and storage therein, which are communicatively interconnected by a busing architecture. The memory is accessible to the processor, and the memory includes processor-executable instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to detect when the television is not being utilized. Responsive thereto, the instructions cause the processor to scan channels received from the television input and generate a composite TV screen image data that may be resolved to a single TV screen image made from an assemblage of TV screen image captures corresponding to the scanned channels.
Traffic light-type signal strength meter/indicator linked to an antenna AGC circuit
A signal strength meter/indicator for use with an over-the-air broadcast television signal receiving antenna includes an input bandpass filter circuit, a first preamplifier circuit, a controllable variable attenuator circuit, a second preamplifier circuit, a splitter, an output bandpass filter circuit, a VHF/UHF filter circuit, a power detector circuit, a microcontroller and a display. The microcontroller, the controllable variable attenuator circuit, the second preamplifier circuit, the splitter, the VHF/UHF filter circuit and the power detector circuit together define an AGC circuit which adjustably controls the power level of an output signal provided to a television. The display is also adjustably controlled by the AGC circuit in displaying an indication of the relative signal strength of the broadcast television signal received by the signal receiving antenna to provide more accurate measurements and indication of the relative signal strength of the received broadcast television signal indicated on the display.
