The controller restricts displaying the setting history information on the display, when the information processing apparatus is not in a connected state to the terminal device, and displays the setting history information on the display, when the information processing apparatus is in a connected state to the terminal device, and when the identification information acquired from the terminal device in a connected state matches the identification information associated with the history information.

There is provided a method for an information processing apparatus configured to communicate with an image processing apparatus. The method includes displaying a screen of an application, wherein the screen corresponds to a screen displayed on a display unit of the image processing apparatus and is subjected to display control by the image processing apparatus, and transmitting an instruction to stop the display control to the image processing apparatus if a predetermined condition is satisfied in a state where the application is no longer operating as a user's operation target on the information processing apparatus.

A system and method are provided for implementing more efficient printing in image forming devices by providing a user-interactive scheme for delaying printing of individual user-requested print operations when an individual image forming device to which a specific user-requested printing operation is directed is determined to be in a power saving mode. The disclosed system and method may determine whether a requested image forming device is in a power saving mode at the time that a user requests an image forming operation and automatically present to the user a formatted user interface page on a display at the user workstation. The formatted user interface may provide the user with an option to direct the image forming device to delay (hold) executing the requested image forming operation until some additional condition is met.

An information processing apparatus that reduces power consumption using IEEE802.11ah connection without spoiling usability of wireless communication. The information processing apparatus includes a memory device that stores instructions, and a processor that executes the instructions to wirelessly communicate with an external apparatus by at least one of a first communication function that wireless communicates by a first wireless communication method that conforms to IEEE802.11ah and a second communication function that wirelessly communicates by a second wireless communication method of which a communication speed is higher than that of the first wireless communication method, determine whether an electric power state of the apparatus is a second electric power state in which power consumption is lower than a first electric power state, and prompt a user to set switching setting that stops the second communication function and starts the first communication function in the second electric power state.

A mobile terminal capable of setting a cover sheet and a header of a fax document and causing an image forming apparatus to transmit the fax document. Cover data representative of a cover sheet is created according to the settings of a cover sheet of a fax document, and header data representative of a header is created according to the settings of a header of the fax document. A printing apparatus of the present invention makes wireless LAN connection in at least either one of a first connection mode for making wireless LAN connection to an image processing apparatus in which inherent authentication information is stored and a second connection mode for making wireless LAN connection to the image processing apparatus via a second access point provided by an apparatus other than the printing device and the image processing apparatus. The printing apparatus controls, in a case of connection in the first connection mode, a first function provided by the printing apparatus to be enabled and a second function which is enabled in the second connection mode to be disabled.

It is made possible to print an image stored in an image processing apparatus by a printing apparatus without requiring a complicated operation. By a printing apparatus operating as a first access point by fixed authentication information, in the case where the communication is controlled in a first mode for performing a wireless LAN connection with an image processing apparatus storing the fixed authentication information, a beacon signal including a specific SSID included in the fixed authentication information is transmitted, and in the case where the image processing apparatus receives printing instructions, a connection without intervention of a second access point different from the printing apparatus and the image processing apparatus is established with the printing apparatus by using the fixed authentication information and an image to be printed is transmitted to the printing apparatus on a condition that a beacon signal including the specific SSID is detected.

A communication apparatus of the present invention includes a first acquisition unit configured to acquire first information that causes the communication apparatus to decide whether a different communication apparatus has a function to disconnect a power source according to an instruction from the communication apparatus, a second acquisition unit configured to acquire second information that shows an operation mode of the different communication apparatus, and a notification unit configured to notify a user that, in a case where the wireless communication with the different communication apparatus is disconnected, the different communication apparatus is instructed to disconnect the wireless communication and disconnect the power source of the different communication apparatus according to the first information and the second information.

In a system in which a server and a client to which a device is connected communicate, the server can execute processes based on the result of checking device operation. The POS terminal of a network system has a device control function for controlling the device, and a diagnostic function for checking operation of the device. To check the operation of the device connected to the client, a maintenance server sends a control command instructing starting the diagnostic function to the POS terminal. The POS terminal stops the device control function if the device control function is executing, starts the diagnostic function, checks operation of the device with the diagnostic function, and returns the result of the checked operation to the maintenance server.
