Battery efficient wireless network connection and registration for a low-power device
A client device is configured to communicate with an access point over a wireless network, exchanging data with the access point over a selected communication channel. The client device stores an identifier of the selected communication channel. After the wireless connection to the access point has ended, the client device initiates a process to reconnect to the access point over the selected communication channel using the stored identifier.
Systems and methods of detecting and identifying an object
Systems and methods of detecting and identifying objects are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, a method performed by one of a plurality of network nodes, with each network node having an optical sensor and being operable to wirelessly communicate with at least one other network node, comprises sending, by a network node over a wireless communication channel, to another network node, an indication associated with an object that is detected and identified by the network node based on one more images of that object that are captured by the optical sensor of the network node. Further, the detection and identification of the object is contemporaneous with the capture of the one or more images of that object. Also, the network node is operable to control a spatial orientation of the sensor so that the sensor has a viewing angle towards the object.
Optimal real world photo selection by non-professionals
There is disclosed a system, apparatus and methods for optimizing photo selection. When a photographer takes photos as requested in a shot list, the photos are automatically assigned a quality score which correlates to how prominently the photo would be displayed in an online search. The photos and the quality scores are displayed to the photographer so that when the photographer has shot a sufficiently high quality photo then the photographer can stop shooting. Photos with the highest quality scores are optimal. The shot lists include reference photos, and if a new photo has a higher quality score than the corresponding reference photo, the new photo becomes the reference photo.
Region of interest-based resolution normalization
Normalized resolutions are determined for first and second regions of interest of an initial video stream captured by a video capture device located within a physical space. The first region of interest is associated with a first conference participant within the physical space and the second region of interest is associated with a second conference participant within the physical space. Instructions are transmitted to the video capture device to cause the video capture device to capture, at the normalized resolutions, a first video stream associated with the first region of interest and a second video stream associated with the second region of interest. The first and second video streams conform sizes and quality levels of the first and second conference participants within separate user interface tiles of a conferencing software user interface to which the first and second video streams are output.
Systems and methods for determining a target field angle of an image capturing device
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for determining automatically a target field angle of an image capturing device. The method may include obtaining, by the image capturing device, at least two images for determining a target field angle of the image capturing device. The method may also include obtaining a field angle range of the image capturing device. Further, the method may include determining the target field angle by matching the at least two images based on the field angle range.
Infrared and visible imaging system
Methods, systems, and apparatus for an infrared and visible imaging system. In some implementations, Image data from a visible-light camera is obtained. A position of a device is determined based at least in part on the image data from the visible-light camera. An infrared camera is positioned so that the device is in a field of view of the infrared camera, with the field of view of the infrared camera being narrower than the field of view of the visible-light camera. Infrared image data from the infrared camera that includes regions representing the device is obtained. Infrared image data from the infrared camera that represents the device is recorded. Position data is also recorded that indicates the location and pose of the infrared camera when the infrared image data is acquired by the infrared camera.
System for generating a three-dimensional scene of a physical environment
A system configured to assist a user in scanning a physical environment in order to generate a three-dimensional scan or model. In some cases, the system may include an interface to assist the user in capturing data usable to determine a scale or depth of the physical environment and to perform a scan in a manner that minimizes gaps.
Image processing device, control method thereof, and program storage medium
The image processing device according to the invention includes: a first acquisition unit to acquire a captured image; a display control unit to display a setting screen to allow to user to set an image processing area, which is an area where predetermine image processing is performed, in the image acquired by the first acquisition unit on a display device; and a second acquisition unit configured to acquire movable range information indicating a movable range of a working device, operations of which are controlled on the basis of a result of the predetermined image processing. The display control unit controls the display of the setting screen so as to cause the user to identify a range in which the working device is not able to operate in the image, on the basis of the movable range information acquired by the second acquisition unit.
AUTOMATIC DETECTION BY A WEARABLE CAMERA
There is set forth herein a system including a camera device. In one embodiment the system is operative to perform image processing for detection of an event involving a human subject. There is set forth herein in one embodiment, a camera equipped system employed for fall detection.
CAMERA CONTROL APPARATUS
A camera control apparatus of the present disclosure includes an interface and a controller. The interface receives first image data generated by a first camera performing image capturing, second image data generated by a second camera performing image capturing, and altitude information relating to altitude, the altitude information being output by an altitude sensor, and transmits a drive signal to a first actuator capable of changing an image capturing direction of the first camera and to a second actuator capable of changing an image capturing direction of the second camera. The controller outputs the drive signal driving at least one of the first actuator and the second actuator to the interface so that an image capturing region of composite image data in which the first image data and the second image data are combined is narrower when the altitude indicated by the altitude information is lower.
