Providing representations of a video program with multiple video streams having different stream types
Methods and systems for the efficient and non-redundant transmission of a single video program in multiple frame rates, optionally employing a combination of video coding standards, in a way that is backwards-compatible with legacy receivers only supportive of some subsection of frame rates or of some subsection of video coding standards.
VIDEO DISPLAY SYSTEM, VIDEO CONVERSION DEVICE, AND VIDEO DISPLAY METHOD
The video display system includes a plurality of display devices having mutually different display delay times and a video conversion device that divides an input integrated video signal into a plurality of video signals and respectively outputs the plurality of video signals to the plurality of display devices. At least one of the plurality of video signals is output in a delayed state to make a difference between display timings of the plurality of videos respectively displayed on the plurality of display devices substantially zero, based on the display delay times.
VIDEO DEINTERLACER WITH INTRAFRAME AND INTERFRAME BLENDING
The various embodiments described herein provide systems, devices and/or processes to improve the deinterlacing of interlaced video content. Specifically, the various embodiments described herein facilitate the deinterlacing of video content by using both intraframe and interframe pixel prediction values to generate replacement pixel values to be used in the resulting progressive scan video. Specifically, the embodiments described herein generate both intraframe pixel prediction values and intraframe pixel prediction values for each pixel in the interlaced video that is to be replaced. The intraframe pixel prediction values and intraframe pixel prediction values are then blended together to generate the replacement pixel values that are used in the progressive scan video. In one embodiment, the blending of intraframe pixel prediction values and intraframe pixel prediction values is based at least in part by estimations of motion in the video about the pixel being replaced.
DE-INTERLACING PROCESSING METHOD AND DEVICE, AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
A de-interlacing processing method, a de-interlacing processing device and a computer-readable storage medium are provided. The method includes acquiring image content characteristic information of a pixel point to be interpolated; and determining according to the image content characteristic information whether a de-interlacing algorithm based on motion adaptive or a de-interlacing algorithm based on motion compensation is adopted to perform de-interlacing processing.
Cadence analysis for a video signal having an interlaced format
An interlaced video signal can include content of different types, such as interlaced content and progressive content. The progressive content may have different cadences according to the ratio between the frame rate of the progressive content and the field rate of the interlaced video signal. Cadence analysis is performed to identify the cadence of the video signal and/or to determine field pairings when progressive content is included. As described herein, motion information (e.g. motion vectors) for blocks of fields of a video signal can be used for the cadence analysis. The use of motion information provides a robust method of performing cadence analysis.
DEINTERLACING VIA DEEP LEARNING
One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a technique for performing deinterlacing. The technique includes separating a first interlaced video frame into a first sequence of fields ordered by time, the first sequence of fields including a first field. The technique also includes generating, by applying a deinterlacing network to a first field in the first sequence, a second field that is missing from the first sequence of fields and is complementary to the first field. The technique further includes constructing a progressive video frame based on the first field and the second field.

DISPLAY CONTROL DEVICE AND DISPLAY CONTROL METHOD
A display control device for controlling a display panel is switchable between a first display mode in which a video is displayed at a first vertical resolution and a second display mode in which a video is displayed at a second vertical resolution that is lower than the first vertical resolution. The display control device comprises at least one memory and at least one processor which function as: a control unit configured, in a first case where a first operation is received in the first display mode, to change to the second display mode after changing a display update timing in the first display mode, and in a second case where a second operation is received in the second display mode, to change the display update timing after changing to the first display mode.
