Intrusion detection and radio fingerprint tracking
11581962 · 2023-02-14 · ·

A radio transmitter adjusts its radio frequency (RF) fingerprint to defeat RF fingerprinting identification without destroying the content of its transmissions. The radio transmitter comprises a frequency-upconverter configured to upconvert a baseband or intermediate-frequency signal to an RF signal, and an amplifier to amplify the RF signal to produce a transmission signal. An RF fingerprint control circuit changes the non-linear behavior of the frequency-upconverter or the amplifier in order to change the RF fingerprint. The transmitter may create RF fingerprint “personalities” to be paired with different radio protocol behaviors and subscriber terminal identification codes (e.g., MAC addresses or SMSIs) for generating different radio identities.

Method for issuing authorisation tickets in an intelligent transport system
11580506 · 2023-02-14 · ·

The present application discloses a method of issuing pseudonymous authorisation tickets to nodes of a cooperative ITS, for signing messages, comprising: receiving a ticket request from a node in an authorisation server, and sending a validation request to an enrolment server, conducting a validity check in the enrolment server, and, when the validity check is passed, incrementing a counter value of a counter assigned to an account at an account server enrolled with the enrolment server for the requesting node, sending a validation message to the authorisation server, and issuing a pseudonymous authorisation ticket from the authorisation server to the requesting node, repeating the aforementioned steps until a predetermined charging period expires, and, upon expiry, sending, from the enrolment server to the authorisation server, said counter value, and sending a charging request calculated from said counter value from the authorisation server to the account server for charging said account.

Dynamic MAC address change mechanism for wireless communications
11582230 · 2023-02-14 · ·

Methods, systems, and devices relate to digital wireless communication, and more specifically, to techniques relating to dynamic change MAC address of the station for subsequent transmissions. In one exemplary aspect, a method of dynamic change MAC address includes specifying a MAC address change mode and a new MAC address to be used by the station. In another exemplary aspect, a method of dual MAC address change mode in the dynamic change MAC address mechanism includes separating the unchanged MAC address of the station from the changeable MAC address of the station, and keep the mapping between them. In another exemplary aspect, a method includes transmitting a MAC address change request message from the station (or the access point) to initiate the MAC address change procedure. In another exemplary aspect, a method includes receiving a MAC address change response message from the access point (or the station).

Automated monitoring of proximate devices

Aspects of the disclosure relate to an automated monitoring of proximate devices. A computing platform may cause a reporting device to detect a target device in a local network, retrieve network data associated with the target device, and send, to an intermediate server, the network data. The computing platform may send, to the intermediate server, a query. The intermediate server may send the network data in response to the query. Based on the network data, the computing platform may determine an amount of time that has elapsed since network activity was previously detected for the target device, and based on a determination that the amount of time exceeds a predetermined time threshold, the computing platform may generate an alert notification indicating that the target device may need to be traced. Subsequently, the alert notification may be sent to the reporting device.

Anti-cyberbullying systems and methods

Some embodiments use text and/or image processing methods to determine whether a user of an electronic messaging platform is subject to an online threat such as cyberbullying, sexual grooming, and identity theft, among others. In some embodiments, a text content of electronic messages is automatically harvested and aggregated into conversations. Conversation data are then analyzed to extract various threat indicators. A result of a text analysis may be combined with a result of an analysis of an image transmitted as part of the respective conversation. When a threat is detected, some embodiments automatically send a notification to a third party (e.g., parent, teacher, etc.)

METHOD FOR OBTAINING A COMMAND RELATING TO A NETWORK ACCESS PROFILE OF AN EUICC SECURITY MODULE
20230044937 · 2023-02-09 ·

A method for obtaining a command relating to a network access profile of an eUICC security module incorporated into a communication device and associated with a physical identifier. The communication terminal: obtains the physical identifier and an anonymous identifier of the security module is calculated from the physical identifier and a random parameter; transmits a request to obtain the command, via an “operator server”, to a “preparation server”, the request to obtain including the anonymous identifier of the security module; obtains the random parameter and calculates the anonymous identifier from the physical identifier of the security module and the random parameter; and sends, to a “discovery server”, a request to obtain information intended to obtain the command, this request to obtain information including the anonymous identifier, in order to obtain, in response, from the discovery server, an address of the preparation server.
