Utilizing a plurality of uplink carriers and a plurality of downlink carriers for multi-cell communications
A method may comprise transmitting using a first uplink carrier and receiving a signal using a first downlink carrier. The signal may include a message indicating activation of a second uplink carrier. A method may further comprise initiating, based on the message, a timer associated with deactivation of the second uplink carrier. The method may further comprise transmitting using the second uplink carrier activated based on the message and deactivating the second uplink carrier on a condition that expiration of the timer is detected.
Low power sensing for pedestrian user equipments (P-UEs)
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for low power channel sensing for pedestrian user equipments (P-UEs). A method that may be performed by a UE (e.g., such as a P-UE) includes determining a level of channel congestion for a channel during a first sensing duration. The method includes determining a second sensing duration and a transmission duration based on the level of channel congestion for the channel determined from the first sensing duration. The method includes sensing the channel for the second sensing duration. The method includes transmitting on the channel for the transmission duration.
METHOD FOR WIRELESS X2X ACCESS AND RECEIVERS FOR LARGE MULTIDIMENSIONAL WIRELESS SYSTEMS
Estimating transmit symbol vectors transmitted in an overloaded communication channel includes receiving a signal represented by a received signal vector, the received signal vector corresponding to a superposition of signals representing transmitted symbols selected from a constellation of symbols and transmitted from one or more transmitters.
UPGRADE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR WIRELESS WIDE AREA NETWORKS
A device comprises a processor. The processor may be configured to: receive information about an existing cell site; and generate a distance histogram for the existing cell site based on the received information. Additionally, the processor may be configured to at least one of: calculate, using the generated distance histogram, a first value that indicates an amount of traffic to be offloaded from the existing cell site to a new cell site, or calculate, using the generated distance histogram, a second value that indicates an amount of traffic to be offloaded from operating bands of the existing cell site as a result of an upgrade at the existing cell site.
Agile transport for background traffic in cellular networks
Concepts and technologies directed to agile transport for background traffic in cellular networks are disclosed herein. In various aspects, a system can include a processor and memory storing instructions that, upon execution, cause performance of operations. The operations can include determining a capacity of a communication path that communicatively couples a user equipment to a radio access network cell site. The operations can include identifying, from the radio access network cell site, a queue that is constructed for the user equipment. The operations can include assembling a plurality of probe burst packet sets from a background traffic flow. The operations can include probing the communication path for spare capacity using the plurality of probe burst packet sets and delivering the background traffic flow to the user equipment using the spare capacity while the communication path is not busy.
Sidelink measurement reporting in next generation wireless networks
Some of the present implementations provide a method for a first user equipment (UE) to deliver a sidelink measurement report to a second UE. The method receives sidelink measurement configuration through a PC5 radio resource control (RRC) connection between the first and second UEs. The method then generates the sidelink measurement report by monitoring at least one target resource pool allocated to the first UE via the sidelink measurement configuration and transmits the sidelink measurement report to the second UE through the PC5 RRC connection between the first and second UEs. The at least one target resource pool is associated with a first radio access technology (RAT) and the PC5 RRC connection between the first and second UEs is associated with a second RAT.
Techniques for determining a number of (re)transmissions in wireless communications
Aspects described herein relate to determining a congestion level related to communicating with one or more devices in a wireless network, determining, based on the congestion level, a retransmission scheme for transmitting and/or retransmitting communications in the wireless network, and transmitting or retransmitting a communication in the wireless network based on the retransmission scheme.
End-to-end prioritization for mobile base station
A method for utilizing quality of service information in a network with tunneled backhaul is disclosed, comprising: establishing a backhaul bearer at a base station with a first core network, the backhaul bearer established by a backhaul user equipment (UE) at the base station, the backhaul bearer having a single priority parameter, the backhaul bearer terminating at a first packet data network gateway in the first core network; establishing an encrypted internet protocol (IP) tunnel between the base station and a coordinating gateway in communication with the first core network and a second core network; facilitating, for at least one UE attached at the base station, establishment of a plurality of UE data bearers encapsulated in the secure IP tunnel, each with their own QCI; and transmitting prioritized data of the plurality of UE data bearers via the backhaul bearer and the coordinating gateway to the second core network.
Congestion Control Method, Apparatus, and System
A congestion control method includes that a first access point receives a first indication from a second access point; and the first access point performs traffic control on a non-key service of the first access point based on the first indication. The first access point is a neighboring access point of the second access point, and an operating channel of the first access point and an operating channel of the second access point overlap.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND COMPUTER READABLE MEDIA FOR NETWORK SLICE SELECTION FUNCTION RECOVERY
Methods, systems, and computer readable media for network slice selection function (NSSF) recovery. A method includes creating, at an NSSF, subscriptions for a number of access and mobility management functions (AMFs) and storing availability information for each AMF. The method includes determining, at the NSSF, that the NSSF failed to process at least one service update message from at least one of the AMFs, and in response, sending a notification request message to each of the AMFs, the notification request message requesting each AMF to update availability information for the AMF. The method includes receiving, at the NSSF, updated availability information from each of the AMFs. The method includes distributing, at the NSSF, the updated availability information to each of the AMFs.
