A gateway access method and an electronic device are provided. The gateway access method includes: determining a target ePDG based on a priority level of at least one pre-recorded evolved packet data gateway ePDG; and initiating an access procedure to the target ePDG based on pre-recorded address information; where the priority level includes a priority level that is determined based on access parameter information of the at least one ePDG; and the address information includes address information of the target ePDG.

Multi-carrier radio point for a centralized radio access network

One embodiment is directed to a multi-carrier radio point for use in a centralized radio access network (C-RAN). The multi-carrier radio point is configured so that the processing and hardware resources provided by the radio point can be associated with controllers of the C-RAN in a flexible manner. A single multi-carrier radio point can be used with multiple controllers to serve multiple cells, where the processing and hardware resources used for the multiple controllers need not be configured and used in the same way.

SELECTING AN APPLICATION INSTANCE
20230217360 · 2023-07-06 ·

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for selecting a server application instance. One apparatus includes a network interface that communicates with a plurality of network functions in a mobile communication network and a processor that receives a request from a first network function to provide performance analytics for a first application. Here, the request includes a present location and a requested time. Additionally, the first application comprises a group of application instances. The processor generates performance analytics for the first application by using a first collection of performance data and reports the performance analytics to the first network function. Here, the performance analytics indicate a best application instance in the group of application instances for the present location and the requested time.

APN for connecting to a virtual home network

A device associated with a home network may receive an access point name (APN) request from a device associated with a visitor network, wherein the APN request is associated with a user device. The device associated with the home network may cause, based on the APN request, a virtual home network to be instantiated that includes a virtual gateway, wherein the virtual home network is physically closer to the user device than the home network. The device associated with the home network may generate an APN that identifies the virtual home network and the virtual gateway. The device associated with the home network may cause the APN to be sent to the device associated with the visitor network to cause a gateway associated with the visitor network to connect to the virtual gateway.

CONTROL METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC CLEANING EQUIPMENT
20220417835 · 2022-12-29 ·

The present disclosure provides a control method for an automatic cleaning equipment, wherein the automatic cleaning equipment includes a mobile device and a self-propelled cleaning device, in which the mobile device is used as a wireless network device to enable the self-propelled cleaning device to communicate with a hotspot function of the mobile device through a wireless network technology, the self-propelled cleaning device is connected to the cloud server through a mobile communication signal of the mobile device, and also the mobile device is connected to the cloud server by using a mobile communication technology.

Dual band LTE small cell
11533632 · 2022-12-20 · ·

A dual band LTE small cell base station communicates on both licensed bands and unlicensed bands. The small cell base station modifies the communication protocol utilized by the licensed band to enable communication over an unlicensed band. This modification involves replacing the physical (PHY) layer of the licensed band communication protocol with the PHY layer of a to-be-used protocol in an unlicensed band.

Method, device, and system for securing an access to at least one service

In a method for securing access to a service, a device is set in a restricted operation mode that allows addressing only a first server and that is associated with a first identifier relating to a first connectivity gateway. The device accesses the first identifier and a subscription profile that is active during the restricted operation mode. The first server receives from the device a request for enrolling a device user and at least one feature relating to a user identity. The first server verifies whether the user identity feature is valid. If the user identity feature is valid, the first server sends to the device a command for deactivating the restricted operation mode. The device deactivates the restricted operation mode while storing, instead of the first identifier, a second identifier relating to a second connectivity gateway. The second identifier allows accessing a second server that manages the service.

Storing and retrieving the network context of a device

A network entity may determine whether a network context of a device is stored in the device or in the network based, at least in part, on a preference or capability of the device, as reported by the device during attachment to the network entity. The context may be stored in, and retrieved from, a dedicated context storage function that is independent of the network entity. A context storage function may be partitioned, or separate storage functions used, to automatically group and track access network contexts, core network contexts, or network slice contexts. The context storage function may provide to the device an index, such as a link or other identifier to be used in retrieving the stored context information. The context storage function may further provide a token to secure re-attachment communications among the device, the network entity, and the context storage function.

OPERATING METHOD FOR AUSF AND UDM FOR AUTHENTICATION AND AUTHORIZATION FOR EACH NETWORK SLICE
20220386120 · 2022-12-01 ·

One disclosure of the present specification provides an operating method for an authentication server function (AUSF) apparatus. The operating method comprises the steps of: requesting a unified data management (UDM) apparatus for information about a serving access and mobility management function (AMF) apparatus for user equipment (UE); receiving, from the UDM apparatus, information indicating that the serving AMF apparatus for the UE is not present and an indication indicating or instructing maintenance of information about authentication and authorization for each network slice; receiving, from the UDM apparatus, information about a new serving AMF apparatus for the UE; and transmitting, to the new serving AMF apparatus, the information about authentication or authorization.

Application server switching method, session management network element, and terminal device
11503509 · 2022-11-15 · ·

An application server switching method, applied to a scenario in which a handover occurs between user plane network elements corresponding to a terminal device, includes obtaining, based on a user plane network element of the user plane network elements after the handover and a correspondence between the user plane network element and an address of a local application server of one or more application servers deployed on a network, the address of the local application server corresponding to the user plane network element after the handover. The correspondence between the user plane network element and the address of the local application server is used to indicate the address of the local application server. The method also includes sending the address of the local application server corresponding to the user plane network element after the handover.
