Adapting network policies based on device service processor configuration

Disclosed herein are various embodiments to prevent, detect, or take action in response to the moving a device credential from one device to another, the improper configuration of a service processor, a missing service processor, or the tampering with a service processor in device-assisted services (DAS) systems.

Method and apparatus for providing service in wireless communication system

The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. A method for replacement of a DNN and/or S-NSSAI in a wireless communication system is provided.

Time duration of a delay between receiving a downlink data packet and user plane connection activation

A session management function (SMF) sends, to an access and mobility management function (AMF), one or more first messages indicating user plane connection activations for a plurality of packet data unit (PDU) sessions to deliver downlink user data to one or more wireless devices. The SMF receives, from the AMF, a first time duration based on the user plane connection activations for the plurality of PDU sessions. The first time duration indicates a delay between receiving a downlink data packet and notifying the AMF about user plane connection activation for the downlink data packet. The SMF sends, to a user plane function, a second message to delay sending of further user plane connection activations to the SMF. The second message indicates a value of the first time duration.

Zero-touch deployment (ZTD) of cellular IoT devices and associated trust model

In one embodiment, a service receives a device registration request sent by an endpoint device, wherein the endpoint device executes an onboarding agent that causes the endpoint device to send the device registration request via a cellular connection to a private access point name (APN) associated with the service. The service verifies that a network address of the endpoint device from which the device registration request was sent is associated with an integrated circuit card identifier (ICCID) or international mobile equipment identity (IMEI) indicated by the device registration request. The service identifies a tenant identifier associated with the ICCID or IMEI. The service sends, based on the tenant identifier, a device registration response to the endpoint device via the private APN.

Method for Activating an Operational Profile Installed in a User Device Which is Accessible to a Radiocommunication Network, Computer Program Product, and Corresponding Devices

A method for activating an operational profile installed in a user device which is accessible to a radiocommunication network. The operational profile includes data which allows the user device to access the radiocommunication network. In such a method, the user device carries out a step of deactivating a current operational profile and activating a passive operational profile. The passive operational profile: prevents the user device from sending to the radiocommunication network at least one location update request and/or at least one attachment request to the radiocommunication network; and allows the user device to receive at least one radio-paging message including a unique identifier for the user device.

A METHOD TO AUTOMATICALLY SWITCH A SUBSCRIPTION BETWEEN TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORKS

Provided is a method for connecting a terminal cooperating with a secure element to a second network, the secure element having a subscription from a first network whilst the secure element is roaming on a third network, the secure element storing the PLMN code of the second network, called second PLMN code, and the PLMN code of the third network, called third PLMN code, the second PLMN code having a higher priority than the third PLMN code in the OPLMN roaming file, the second PLMN having no roaming agreement with the first network nor the third network, and the third network having a coverage that overlaps at least a part of the coverage of the second network, the method comprising, when it is detected that the second network has rejected the attachment request of the terminal.

USER SERVICE PROCESSING METHOD, SYSTEM, AND RELATED DEVICE

A user service processing method in a charging system is as follows: A charging trigger device provides initial quota application mode indication information for a charging processing device, so as to indicate an initial quota request mode previously applied by the charging trigger device for a user service. The charging processing device performs charging processing on the user service based on the indication information, and delivers a charging processing result to the charging trigger device, to enable the charging trigger device to change a charging operation on the user service. In this way, by changing a cooperation relationship between the charging processing device and the charging trigger device, a balance between performance of the charging system and a credit control risk, or between an access delay and a credit control risk is implemented.
