INTAKE FILTER FOR WATER COLLECTION SYSTEM WITH PRESSURE ACTIVATED BACKWASH VALVE
This specification describes an intake filter for use, for example, in a system that collects greywater from baths or showers for re-use in toilet flushing. The intake filter provides essentially dead-end filtration. An influent by-pass may be provided, but the filter is cleaned as required to reduce use of the by-pass. Cleaning is performed when permeability of the filter declines. An upstream sensor may be used to detect the permeability of the filter. In one cleaning method, flowing water, optionally with air, is used to backwash the filter. The impulse of the flowing water also moves one or more valves to direct backwash water to a sanitary drain. For example, pumped effluent may impinge against a first flap to close an effluent drain, the first flap being mechanically linked to open a flap covering the sanitary drain.

Method for recycling water and a water recycling device
The present inventive concept relates to a method for recycling water in a water recycling device, the method comprising: receiving used water via a drain; determining a water quality measure of the used water; if the water; quality measure of the water is above a first quality threshold, feeding the used water to a valve arrangement; in the valve arrangement, forming water to be treated by providing external water, the used water or a combination of the external water and the used water; generating treated water by treating the water to be treated using a water treatment arrangement; and feeding the treated water to an outlet. The present inventive concept also relates to a water recycling device.
WASHING UNIT
A passive water-and-energy saving washing unit is provided having a first shower sub-assembly and a second shower sub-assembly. The first shower sub-assembly comprises a first water reservoir, for holding a predetermined volume of water for washing at least part of a body, a water heater, for heating water for the first water reservoir, and a shower head, in fluid communication with the first water reservoir for receiving water from the reservoir and providing water spray on the body part. The second shower sub-assembly comprises a second, grey water reservoir, for collecting the sprayed water from the first shower head and running off the body part, a shower head, in fluid communication with the second water reservoir for receiving the water from the reservoir and providing water spray on the body part, and a water pump, for pumping the water from the second water reservoir to the second shower head. A corresponding kit and a method for washing at least part of body with a washing unit are also provided.
SHOWER HEAD WATER COLLECTING DEVICE
A shower head water collecting device includes a water collecting hanging component, a temperature sensing element, an assembling component, a solar panel, and a temperature displaying element. The water collecting hanging component is provided for a shower head to be hung thereon and collects the water spraying from the shower head. The temperature sensing element is disposed inside the water collecting hanging component to sense the temperature of water spraying from the shower head. The assembling component is mounted on top of the water collecting hanging component. The solar panel and the temperature displaying element are disposed in the assembling component. The solar panel is electrically connected to the temperature sensing element and the temperature displaying element, wherein the solar panel harvests the light energy from the outside and converts it into electrical energy to supply power to the temperature sensing element and the temperature displaying element.
Drain Diverted Dirty Water and Continuously Circulated Clean Water System
According to embodiments of the present disclosure is a water delivery system that continuously flows and recirculates clean water, diverting only water that has touched a user's hands. No sensing is required to activate the water flow and the actions of the user effectively divert the dirty water to a drain. The water delivery system comprises a clean water outlet, a clean water inlet, a dirty water drain, and a circulation pump. A stream of water continuously flows from the outlet and is received by the water inlet if the stream is uninterrupted. If the stream is disturbed, such as by the hand washing activities of the user, the stream is diverted from the inlet and instead falls into a sink and into the drain.
Device and method for purifying and recycling shower water
The present invention describes a hybrid device allowing for purification and either recycling of water or discarding of water, wherein said hybrid device comprises a recirculation loop which facilitates recirculation of water within said hybrid device, and also comprises: a filter system comprising at least one filter; at least one water quality sensor, a modified drain, which is adapted to collect the water used and to facilitate the stream of water used towards the recycling loop and filter system, so that water can be purified and recirculated, or towards drainage; a water treatment unit arranged for hygenisation of water; a functionality sensor for the water treatment unit; wherein the hybrid device is arranged so that: it can operate in a recirculation mode providing purification and recirculation of water, until the water passing through said hybrid device is at a maximum level of contaminants; when any of said sensors is indicating the need to do so, and in particular when said at least one water quality sensor indicates that the water is contaminated above said maximum level of contaminants, the same water is redirected from recirculation to drainage and is discarded from the hybrid device.
HEAT RECOVERY UNIT FOR GRAY WATER
The invention relates to a heat recovery unit to transfer heat from a gray water source discharged from a bath or a shower to preheat fresh cold water supplying a bath, a shower, a boiler system or hot water heater. The heat recovery unit comprises an inner tube, an outer tube, a non-return valve, an anode, deflectors as well as associated piping and fittings. Fresh water from a pressurized public network or well flows through the inner tube while the gray water flows between the inner and outer tubes. The non-return valve installed in the fresh water pipe prevents contamination of the drinking water system. A translucent pipe may be installed in a section of the gray water piping system to detect any leaks. An insulated jacket may be placed around the unit to reduce heat loss. The heat recovery unit may be used in domestic, commercial, industrial and institutional buildings.
